Went to see Megamind last night with the wife and kid. It was my first 3D movie. Are all 3D flicks this gimmicky?

The movie was ok, about the only thing so far that I could stand Will Ferrel in, I suppose because I didn't have to look at him.

I now answer the phone with 'Ohlo?' though, that was worth the price of admission. Ok not really, but me and wife crack up every time I say it.

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." I hadn't seen the first one until a few weeks ago when it played on cable. This one, on Blu-Ray, with my surround sound cranked, made my house shake. Not a spectacular movie, but I might have to buy it just to show off the audio.

I agree...seen that this week with the family. The 3D was much less spectacular than Alice in Wonderland. The movie was very average.

Story wasn't the best, but the stars and the action was all I wanted to see anyway. Five stars would fit my description of it as well, Greg.

went and saw the latest Harry Potter movie over the Thanksgiving holiday. pretty good. especially since they are following the book very closely

Went and saw Black Swan yesterday. Really good movie! And no, I'm not just saying that because of the love scene between Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis :p

Good WIll Hunting with my son. he didn't really want to watch it and was going to go upstairs but he got hooked and really enjoyed it. Great flick.

Great Expectations by Charles Dickens... 100 years ago when I taught h.s. English to 9th graders, that was our class novel to read. Brought back many good memories of those kids and that incredible story!
