Hey Jeremy, puts and takes look great, just one reminder from Scott's rules that I think we have been honoring well so far. (If you don't have it boxed up already!!)

Other than that, looks like a really good exchange there :tu

Thanks for the heads up, I waited because I knew there could be something I missed. I added a 98 Punch RS11 and an 07 Punch Punch

This is a great match-up between the 2 top scoring teams...I have the wins, but you've scored more so far. Looking forward to this weekend.

Same here :) Hopefully both of our teams show up and we can battle it out.

I did, it took me a couple tries because apparently what usps.com calls a post office is not always actually a post office...

I meant to post this up earlier this week, but kept forgetting: the DC is 9406203699300022835816, but it's not showing anything yet online, though I have had packages arrive before any status came up, so that's nothing new.

Viaje Platino

If this looks good please let me know I suck at cigar prices anymore:confused: then I will get it back to Scott

chaase321 10-28-2012 08:53 AM

Re: Third Annual Fantasy Football for Stakes and the Troops

Scott those puts and takes look more than ok :tu

Also, the LGC you took was the:
02 La Gloria Cubana #1 Medaille de Or

Based on the size, Shilala may have more input, but that looks like a 36 rg rather than a 28 rg.

Move it on to Shilala. :tu

shilala 10-28-2012 09:12 AM

Re: Third Annual Fantasy Football for Stakes and the Troops

That LGC has to be a #1 or a #3, that's all I have, I think. Maybe I have #2's? Hell, I don't know. :D
I tried to find the pass list of cigars I put in, can't find it. I figured it'd help me nail down what it was. It must be on my laptop in the shop, although I have no idea why it would be. So I give up. Cole will figure it out, he's THE MAN. :tu

One of these guys has to know what that Viaje is that you're putting. I'm sure someone will pipe up.
Yours puts and takes look awesome, brother!!!
You can get that box to me or Weeze, whichever. Or just come on over. If you wanna come over and watch the game and stay here Monday night, that'd be cool, too. :tu

I looked up the different sites, and judging by the picture of the LGC you put up, I swear it has to be the 1. Scott (Shilala) you only put in a 1 and two 2's. The 1's are 36 rg, and the 2's are 28 rg. So I think it is the LGC1.

Also, I have been keeping track of the puts and takes, so my excel sheet I have on my computer should still be up to date. Hopefully everyone is still keeping up with the lists on the thumb drive, but if not, I'll make sure everything is good the next time around. :tu

Actually he put in one #1 and two #3's but I'm just being pedantic. You are correct, the one that was taken was the #1. Also, the RyJ that was just put in is the "Mille fleur" just wanted to correct the spelling in case someone tried to look it up.

Re: Third Annual Fantasy Football for Stakes and the Troops

Scott is bringing the pass over to my place tonight. I'm gonna take some time to root through it and clean it up and see if it makes sense for me to pull any smokes out yet. I doubt it will. I want to keep as many in there as possible so there's an awesome selection.
Cole, you wanna canvass the guys and see who's in for round 2 so I know who to get it to? I mapped out the participants so it'd move efficiently geographically. There's no reason it couldn't change, but the first round went super fast, mail-wise. Plus Matt carrying it to Mark really helped.
Thank You to everyone for an excellent first round, it went so well I'm just almost shocked. I say almost because I knew you guys would do an awesome job, that's why I wanted to start it. :)

The only thing I see that's a b1tch is the shipping cost.
If you guys want to do anything different this time around, throw the idea out there. The rules are back in post #134, I believe.
The one thing I can think would make the shipping cost worthwhile is to raise the amount of sticks we can take from 6 to 7 for this round. Then each round we can raise it again until it comes to a comfortable ceiling?
That's just an idea, I'll leave that up to Cole. He's the Pass Boss. :tu

I know someone skipped this last go, but I forget who it was. I just mention it to see if you'd like in this go-round?

shilala 10-29-2012 12:02 PM

Re: Third Annual Fantasy Football for Stakes and the Troops

Guys, let's get this sorted out this week, as well. I'm ashamed of myself for not getting my sticks in, all I have to do is dig them out and move them 10 feet.
Don't be a shilala. Get your cigars in, will you please? :)
Cole, will you pick this up and start sending us nasty pm's until we get this done? I'm not doing a very good job keeping up with it at all.
The guys who were just an entry stick short can get them in when they send their troop sticks later, I'd think? I already told Travis it'd be okay.

A biggie...
The entry fee is 6 premium sticks and 6 troop sticks.
I know that's an easy mistake to make being as it's a new rule. I hope everyone who hasn't sent smokes will catch that. It'll save messing around in the future.

Reporting for duty :D
Scott, I'll be sending out PM's for folks that need to get in entry sticks and to see if everyone wants in the 2nd round of the pass.

As for the logistics, I d not see any problems with the pass going the same route it went the last time. I think we all got access to some pretty awesome sticks, and probably would no matter what order the pass went in, but that's just my :2

Also, the shipping costs are a little higher, but this is a high quality pass, so I'm not worried about the costs. I'm sure that, as we did last round, if we need to leave someone out or if someone needs a little help, that should be fine. I do like the idea of pulling out 6-7 sticks instead of 5. However, let's just make sure we are replacing with quality and not just quantity.

Anyway, it was a great idea, and I'll get the PM's out soon. :tu

Re: Third Annual Fantasy Football for Stakes and the Troops

Taking all comers for bets this weekend. I'll go 5 or 10 troop cigars on whatever bets you can dream up. Sensible bets, I should say.
One I like is that we each pick two teams and their combined high score wins. That's fun. :)
I'll put up an extra cigar for every 2 points you give me, so if you've got any balls on ya, this could parlay into a major batch of smokes for the troops this week. Pvssies. :D

I texted Stephen and volunteered him for a head to head bet between us for this week. A personal fiver and a troop fiver. Plus I offered him the points deal on the troops side of the bet.

(Sorry for being so quiet this season, between sick and busy I've been afraid to take on anything I'd forget about. I'll try to be more involved.)

Scott, ill take Green Bay and Houston, ill give you 2 points to start depending on your picks for a troop fiver. Ill go head to head with you and spot you 6 points. And as an added if either of us wins both bets, it's an extra troop 5 and a personal 5.

Let me know if this is a go.

Stephen was right, but we can go ahead and use NFL teams just the same.

Broken down especially for Shilala :D
-Coach takes Green Bay and Houston, He is giving you 2 points with your pick of Atlanta and Tampa Bay (so from your post, if you lose by more than 2 points to him, you lose a 5'er plus 1 more for the 2 points he is spotting you, so you would owe 6. If you win or lose by 2 points or less, he pays a troop 5'er.

-He wants to go head to head with you in the FF week and spot you 6 points. If you win, or lose by 6 points or less, he pays a troop 5'er, if you lose by more than 6 points you owe a troop 5'er.

-If either you or him win both bets, the loser has to put in another troop 5'er and a personal 5'er to the other person.

Potential lost sticks...15 troops, 5 personal.

Whew...got it :tu

I only broke this down in the chance that Coach doesn't get back on to do it himself before the games. Coach, update as needed.

shilala 11-02-2012 10:30 AM

Re: Third Annual Fantasy Football for Stakes and the Troops

Thanks Cole!!! :tu
I wasn't sure if the head to head was a troop fiver or personal fiver. I'm perfectly good with the terms as you laid them out. I hope that's what Mike meant.

Re: Third Annual Fantasy Football for Stakes and the Troops

Lol, thanks Cole. :)
Jeremy, how bout a troop fiver? The bet is lowest total points in an ff matchup this week. I'll take my matchup between Stephen and I. You can take whoever you want.
I'll extend the "For every two points you give me, I'll go another troop smoke" deal, too. You could make me lose lots of cigars. :D

If you want my matchup with Stephen, I'll pick a different one. :tu

Daumn I lost by like 2 points! Come on Drew Brees, throw one more pass for 5 yards :r

Looks like after half the season we have found that no one is unstoppable, and that the race for 3rd and 4th is getting heated. :noon

Re: Third Annual Fantasy Football for Stakes and the Troops

I think my bets shook out like this...
I lost to Cole, I owe a troop fiver.
I lost one to Coach and he lost one to me, we each owe a troop fiver.
Stephen lost to me, he owes me a fiver and a troop fiver.
Jeremy and I never finished our bet, but I'll assume I lost that one and owe a troop fiver.
Does that all sound right? Did I miss anything?

Hey guys, I am going to be in Myrtle Beach until next Friday. Just a thought, but I may need to be a little later in line on the pass to keep it going. Perhaps sending it to Mattso3000 next is a good idea. I could go after him or later on, whatever works best.
