Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Good time for a nice little winning streak :D
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Pagan finds himself on the DL with a pulled oblique (the current "hip" MLB injury).
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Mets finally pull out a close one...and the bullpen doesn't blow it. Pelfrey gets his first win of the year. :tu
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
3 in a row :td
This is getting ridiculous! Every win is driving up ticket prices. I'm still confident come August I'll be able to trade an empty milk carton, rusty screwdriver and a bag of birdseed to get our our seats :D |

Don't look now...but who's the hottest team in baseball? NY Mets!! 5 in a row!!! Ike Davis is on fire!! Another win tonight brings us out of the cellar (don't know for how long), but i am enjoying it while I can. :wo :wo :wo

GO METS!!!!! :banger The Mets hot streak inspired my company softball team tonight and we pulled out a squeaker! (Well, I'M inspired by them anyway, lol.) Our shortstop ripped a walk-off double in the bottom of the last inning with two outs, driving in the tying and winning runs!!! That kind of game will give the coach some extra gray hairs. |
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
watching highlights on MLB Network....hate to say it but Reyes got robbed of a triple...horrible call...ump blew it
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Yes he did!! :td :td Murphy made up for it with the HR though. Mets SHOULD be winning. :D

Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter

Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
10-0, 2 hits??? Really???? Here we go again!!
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Let's just hope this streak doesn't go on as long as the last one....
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
At least Ike Davis stayed hot!! :D
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Well, I said they should break up the Mets, and I guess they're in the process of doing so now.
Odd though . . . it's not September yet. :D |
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Let's start with Pelfrey. He hasn't panned out since day one.

Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Another loss to the Phillies. At least it was only 2-1 and not a massacre. :D
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
2-1? I suspect the problem is you're not getting enough production out of the DH slot. ;)
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Back to the cellar!! :D
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Mets FINALLY beat the Phillies...it took 14 innings and a 5-7 day from Ronnie Paulino. At least we didn't get swept. :tu :tu But, we're still in the cellar.

Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Looks like Mejia is going to have Tommy John surgery, this team can not catch a break. It's the Wilpons curse.
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Mets piss away a 3-0 first inning lead to lose 7-6. :td

Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
"As the Mets Turn..." way better than a soap opera....
The latest from the 'only the Mets' file Posted on: May 6, 2011 1:22 pm Edited on: May 6, 2011 1:26 pm It's almost as if the Mets don't want to be overshadowed by the Dodgers in ownership nuttiness. Or maybe it's that they can't go more than a few days without an "only the Mets" moment. Friday, the New York Post reported that a guy named Steve Cohen is the front-runner to buy a minority stake in the Mets. Also Friday, the Wall Street Journal reported on its front page that a guy named Steve Cohen is the subject of a government investigation, because trades made in one of his accounts were suggested by two former employees who pled guilty to insider trading. Yep, same Steve Cohen. You really can't make this stuff up, can you? So the Wilpons, who are in financial trouble because of their involvement with Bernard Madoff, are now going to sell a stake in their business to a guy under investigation for shady financial dealings? At least Cohen, who runs the SAC Capital hedge fund, seems to have real money. Forbes estimates his net worth at $8 billion, and the Journal said makes $1 billion a year. To be fair, the Mets insisted to the Post that there is no front-runner. Then again, these are the Mets. LOVE THE METS!! :r |

Nice way for Gee to step in at the last minute and pitch a good game
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
And of course we drop one to the Dodgers today...4-2. R.A. Dickey looks terrible this year.
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Guess there is always next year!!!!!
|
Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
Not only do the Mets loose tonight, they also announce Mejia is getting Tommy John surgery, Young has tear in shoulder an is probably done for the year, and Wright has sore back. :td

Re: New York Mets 2011 Banter
The hits just keep on coming. :td :td
