Good job JETS. Tough win.

Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
Wow. Yet another example of how absolutely horrible Sanchez is, regardless of what the threads resident homer Joe might think.
when Pennington was the Jets Qb, everybody in the league knew what a popgun arm he had, even before he got hurt. And nobody took him seriously. But, at least the guy completed a high percentage of his 5-10 yard passes. When, like Sanchez, you only throw 5-10 passes and STILL can barely manage to complete 50% of them, that's truly pathetic. And that last pass? My God. You can't even throw the ball 40 yards downfield? That play was the very reason they came up with the "uncatchable ball" ruling. did the defender touch Holmes face mask? Undisputed. Did Holmes have any chance of catching that dead duck of a pass? Not in this ****ing lifetime, LOL Holmes was falling backward, away from the ball and the defender had inside positioning. He was never going to catch that lame ass throw, and to just hand the Jets a first down inside the five when it was fourth and what 19?, is inexcusable. |

Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
I don't think Sanchez is great. I think he is playing up to his expectations for a second year QB. he is showing progress compaired to last season and that is all you can ask for. I agree he had a bad game, but The Jets won game they should have lost, so no harm no foul.
As long as he doesn't lose the game, the team has a good chance to win every game they are in. There are plenty of Qbs in the league I would take over him, but he's not bad for a second year Qb and if he keeps getting better than he'll be pretty damn good in years to come. |
Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
Congrats!!!
Best record in football as of week 6. Who would have thought that. |

The Jets have a QB that, in his rookie year, helped lead his team to the playoffs; something that even Brett Favre was not able to do for them the previous year. In the first six games in his second year he has led them to a 5-1 record. You're right, he's terrible. He should be drummed out of the league! :r Broncos fan, for the record. |

Save the :r and  for the end of the year. Let's keep this to reality. They have the best record. They have a very good defense. They have a rejuvenated Tomlinson. Sanchez? Jury is out on him and btw, there goes the 0 interceptions. This is the Jets we are talking about here, remember? 10 games to go. Even then, if they make it, the playoffs are not very receptive to them. If there is any possible remote chance they can screw it all up, they will seize the moment to do so.:r |

I repeat, I am not a Jets fan. And I can't disagree with your points about Sancez stinking up Mile High last night. He played like crap. And yes, the Jets pulled one outta their a$$ . . . hey, everybody gets one, now and then. But Denver had their shot, and didn't do it. They got the ball back with both time and time-outs. Orton was moving them downfield, but twice on sideline completions his receivers failed to get out of bounds to stop the clock. This forced Orton to rush the offense, which may have contributed to the bad snap, with DID lead to the fumble, which ended the game. Suck it up. The Jets won, fair and square. Move on. Just my :2, and worth every penny. |
Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
This thread is awfully quiet today.:(
Where's Vic? |

Just pitiful! Shutout at home!
|
Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
I certainly wouldn't have bet on our (Pack) beat up defense shutting anyone out, but I'll take it. Hopefully we can meet again in the SB.

Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
16 for 38, for 256 yards, with two interceptions and no touchdowns.
Not trying to trash but just going back to the points raised by Vic about Sanchez. Green Bay does not have that type of stellar defense that should have stopped Sanchez like this. Something noted by a Fox commentator as they were doing the replays of the game, he said "Jets 3rd and 8 (this was with around 4 minutes left)". He went on to say this is not where the Jets want to be with this QB. As a NY fan first, I feel for the Jets. I truly do. I think today should put some doubt that Sanchez is your star. If he is, he is certainly taking way too long to shine. |
Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
Bad day for Jets football, especially after a bye.
I'm glad I had to miss the game for my boy's birthday and first Halloween. |
Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
Why the hell couldn't you do us a favor and beat the Cheezits yesterday? :(

Oh well... as long as they play good when (if) they make it to post season. |

Very ugly win today. But a win is a win!
|
Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
I'm all for "a win is a win"... however, I'd like to see a good old fashioned ass-whoopin administered by the Jets once in a while instead of all these last minute victories.
|
Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
Let's not forget Folk left 9 points on the field. I think when the team is built around the run and defense they will always be close games.
Cleveland played a HELL of a game and are alot better than their record. |

Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
I am still not convinced the Jets are any good, but they sure are lucky as hell. By my count, this makes three wins they have pulled out of their butts . . . yesterday against the Browns, last week's OT against the Lions, and that "facemask" win in Denver.
With as much bad luck as good, they'd be 4-5, not 7-2. |

Good comeback.
Should have never boiled down to that but great way to walk away with a win, with a bomb pass no less. |

:tu JETS!!!

Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
Where TF are the Jets fans today?
Holy crap! I would think after last night's win and now being tied at 9-2 with the Patriots for first place, with an upcoming match between the two, you guys would be all over this thread. Reality Check: Remember '86. Keep it real. Enjoy but don't break out the champagne yet. |
Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!
I really can't wait for Jets/Pats.
