Wow. Yet another example of how absolutely horrible Sanchez is, regardless of what the threads resident homer Joe might think.

when Pennington was the Jets Qb, everybody in the league knew what a popgun arm he had, even before he got hurt. And nobody took him seriously.

But, at least the guy completed a high percentage of his 5-10 yard passes.

When, like Sanchez, you only throw 5-10 passes and STILL can barely manage to complete 50% of them, that's truly pathetic.

And that last pass? My God. You can't even throw the ball 40 yards downfield?

That play was the very reason they came up with the "uncatchable ball" ruling. did the defender touch Holmes face mask? Undisputed. Did Holmes have any chance of catching that dead duck of a pass? Not in this ****ing lifetime, LOL

Holmes was falling backward, away from the ball and the defender had inside positioning. He was never going to catch that lame ass throw, and to just hand the Jets a first down inside the five when it was fourth and what 19?, is inexcusable.

I don't think Sanchez is great. I think he is playing up to his expectations for a second year QB. he is showing progress compaired to last season and that is all you can ask for. I agree he had a bad game, but The Jets won game they should have lost, so no harm no foul.

As long as he doesn't lose the game, the team has a good chance to win every game they are in.

There are plenty of Qbs in the league I would take over him, but he's not bad for a second year Qb and if he keeps getting better than he'll be pretty damn good in years to come.

Let's see:

The Jets have a QB that, in his rookie year, helped lead his team to the playoffs; something that even Brett Favre was not able to do for them the previous year. In the first six games in his second year he has led them to a 5-1 record.

You're right, he's terrible. He should be drummed out of the league! :r

Broncos fan, for the record.

Dan,
Save the :r and  for the end of the year.
Let's keep this to reality.
They have the best record.
They have a very good defense.
They have a rejuvenated Tomlinson.
Sanchez? Jury is out on him and btw, there goes the 0 interceptions.

This is the Jets we are talking about here, remember?
10 games to go.
Even then, if they make it, the playoffs are not very receptive to them.

If there is any possible remote chance they can screw it all up, they will seize the moment to do so.:r

I have to admit, I am having flashbacks of the '08 season when the things went into a horrible tailspin after Thanksgiving. Up until then the Jets looked like the best team in the league.

I get what you're saying, Vic... but you gotta remember... I'm a Jets fan. We don't historically do good... in general. You can't blame a guy for being happy when we're not sucking.

Damn, Vic, I must have been watching a different game than you. Not only did that "dead duck" land in his hands, despite the fact that the facemask had turned his head around, but even the announcers stated that "he almost caught it anyway". Was the foul intentional? Maybe not, and had it been limited to the contact that occurred before the ball got there, it might have fairly been ruled as incidental (and might not have, either). But the facemask, intentional or not, is a major personal foul, even if it happens at the line of scrimmage. For it to happen on a long pass play for a potential winning TD late in the game . . . well, you have to call it. OK, you don't like it, and it pi$$es you, and the Bronco fans, off. Yet you should be able to admit that, had the foul NOT been called, the Jets would have had much more reason to be pi$$ed.

I repeat, I am not a Jets fan. And I can't disagree with your points about Sancez stinking up Mile High last night. He played like crap. And yes, the Jets pulled one outta their a$$ . . . hey, everybody gets one, now and then. But Denver had their shot, and didn't do it. They got the ball back with both time and time-outs. Orton was moving them downfield, but twice on sideline completions his receivers failed to get out of bounds to stop the clock. This forced Orton to rush the offense, which may have contributed to the bad snap, with DID lead to the fumble, which ended the game.

Suck it up. The Jets won, fair and square. Move on. Just my :2, and worth every penny.

Re: J! E! T! S! Jets! Jets! Jets!

16 for 38, for 256 yards, with two interceptions and no touchdowns.

Not trying to trash but just going back to the points raised by Vic about Sanchez.

Green Bay does not have that type of stellar defense that should have stopped Sanchez like this.

Something noted by a Fox commentator as they were doing the replays of the game, he said "Jets 3rd and 8 (this was with around 4 minutes left)".
He went on to say this is not where the Jets want to be with this QB.

As a NY fan first, I feel for the Jets. I truly do.
I think today should put some doubt that Sanchez is your star.
If he is, he is certainly taking way too long to shine.

It wasn't pretty. They looked like they did last week, like it was a scrimmage or something. The important thing is the W and with the Pats loss we're back in 1st.

Let's not forget Folk left 9 points on the field. I think when the team is built around the run and defense they will always be close games.

Cleveland played a HELL of a game and are alot better than their record.

I am still not convinced the Jets are any good, but they sure are lucky as hell. By my count, this makes three wins they have pulled out of their butts . . . yesterday against the Browns, last week's OT against the Lions, and that "facemask" win in Denver.

With as much bad luck as good, they'd be 4-5, not 7-2.

Agreed. I also would like to see a good ole fashioned azz-wooping ala the Giants over Seattle! It would go a long way just to flex some muscle not just keep their heads above water. :D
