Got all the stuff I need to start I think The pipe is a Missouri Meerschaum, don't know which one, but its the only one my B&M had, and since I buy cigars from them all the time, they cut me a great deal for 2 oz of their most popular blend I already smoked 2 bowls, and I'm getting better, I kept the 2nd bowl lit the whole time, but by the time I got good with the matches, I was down to 1 :r I am not used to the way pipe tobacco tastes, I know this is only one type, but I'm used to the mouth full of strongly flavored smoke like you get with cigars. This is a very interesting hobby, I'll definately be buying a decent quality pipe one I get good with the corn cob, not that its a bad pipe, I just need more pipe than one since my bowls are only lasting me 20 minutes or so. I'm also looking to try the flake type of tobacco I think is what it is, since it looks like it would be much easier since its not all loose and stuff. |

Looks like a good starter kit Joey:tu

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Ive heard nothing but praise for McClelland's Christmas Cheer, so I went ahead and ordered a tin. First time I ordered tobacco instead of going to Fader's and getting it. Cant wait to see how it goes.

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Faders was having a Steve Monjure Pipe Event today and I just had to take this home

Roger that. So far, all the samples folks have sent me I've liked very much! Budget also precludes a pipe, altho they have some very nice ones!

I've been trying to snag one of their Nosewarmer classic style pipes, they run under 75$. But the pipes sell fast.

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
This is the one I'd like to snag after the first of the year from Boswells, or something similar:
http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...h_Freehand.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/g...Freehand_1.jpg This was from their recent selection of pipes for sale. Its the rustic and smooth freehand. A nice chunk of wood...:tu |

Bought myself 2oz of a local B&M blend called State Street, which apparently has been available to the locals longer than I have. Looking forward to it!

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
I have 2 Tins of Christmas Cheer on the way, 1 to smoke now and 1 to cellar. Also have a 4 pipe leather case coming in this order. Also waiting to hear from Boswell that he has finsihed our deployment pipes. I can't wait. This will be my second one from him. My other one is the CA pipe from last year.

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Well SP just put a bunch of Dunhill tobacco up on their site, so I naturally got in on the grab for some of that. It's been too long since I've run out of some of my favorite blends...EMP, Nightcap, and 965 all found multiple tins headed my way...
Anyone else jump for the Dunhill? |

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
I have yet to try any Dunhill blends. I do plan on snagging at least EMP, as a fan of light english blends I'm hoping it's a good tin.

For a guy who doesn't smoke English blends that often, 965 is great! |
Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Waited to long. EMP, 965, and Nightcap are all out of stock. Typical, tobacco hoarding at it's finest.

Not worth it to me to be honest. Between the retail mark up on tobacco and the states horseshit taxes, I buy all of my tobacco online. I do buy pipes at the B&M. Made the mistake a few times buying pipes on looks and not feel. |
Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Merry Christmas to me. I've been having a rough couple of weeks, so I decided to have Christmas come a bit early and bought myself a new pipe.

PAD has struck...badly...
Last pipe for me for awhile, but I decided to grab another one of my dream pipes, a Rad Davis Rhodesian. I should be enjoying my humble pipe collection now, I certainly shouldn't need to be adding more to it for the near future. Hey...it's the season right? :D http://raddavispipes.com/pipeImages/...01663Pic2F.jpg Rad was very helpful in working with me to acquire it, great customer service. My wallet on the other hand hates me... I'll get pics up of both this and the Cavicchi when they arrive to me. |
Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Dang! That is a sexy looking pipe!! Nice pick up

Re: Latest Pipe-Related Purchase Thread
Major :tu:tu:tu on the Rad Davis pipe. I've wanted one of his for a while, and I sure like that one.
