Holyyy SH!T! You do NOT see these often. A Shelby Cobra, this one with the 289 engine (NOT a replica, but original, and supposedly the only one in that color)

:r my buddy is gonna "rent" my 6d for $20 a wedding. He doesn't make much for his wedding shoots and he splits that with his partner. He doesn't do too many of them so it's not like he'll run it into the ground either

Re: Photography Thread
Ah, what the hell, he ain't gonna run me off.
Justin, this is the new lens I picked up last week. 180mm 2.8 AIS, an old Manual Focus Nikkor. Combined with a rare plumbing of the depths of ISO, I could shoot pretty easily in the Tropical Bird House. For some reason I was hesitant to use ISO for fear it would kill me with noise, but while it is certainly evident, it doesn't bother me. SWEET lens. http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...psb36542d2.jpg Works just as well outside....ISO turned down to 400 to still give me a fast shutter speed with this long and heavy lens. http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...ps02dcd250.jpg Another great shot with the 180mm 2.8. I know not everyone can use these lenses, either through Canon issues or Nikon camera model issues for metering, etc, but I highly recommend these old Nikkors. Suckers are CHEAP for really nice optics. http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...psa105c405.jpg |

Sweet brad! What body?

Re: Photography Thread
Sorry, the land lady passcoded her wireless, so I only get to surf at work, lol.
It was the D200. (That D700 is for nightclub gigs and other no light sitchos. It has so many actuations that I have to conserve it :) ). The D200 works very well with those old lenses, and I can beat on my new one that is kind of in the same boat as the D700. Speaking of D200s, an offer you can't refuse...(provided you have a tube of auto trim adhesive) . |

My wife's Grandmother passed away on Saturday. Funeral was yesterday and after most of us went back to my in-laws house to visit and talk, including my nieces. The following posts are from that.

Thanks for the compliment....I enjoy shooting animals, shame they have to be zoo shots,
but I don't get out much. Its like Zoo Tycoon and Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis... People will pay good money for shots of your dinosaurs that do not include fencing, lol. http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...pse2309b9a.jpg |
Re: Photography Thread
And for our california brethren who like to drop in and visit, the REGULAR KIND of Panda.

Re: Photography Thread
Is it ME? Cause I had a real Andy Rooney thing going a while back, and finally remembered
to hit em with the beard and mustache trimmer setting on my dog clipper. |
Re: Photography Thread
Well today I got to combine both of my vices into one. Took some meat to smokyland, washed and
waxed the car, even polished out a scratch I put in the paint with the damn car wash hose, lol. Never shot my "What's in your smoker" pics with a DSLR before, I usually use my little compact. I should have stopped down some, I'd say there is not enough depth of field for the subject matter. But I never think about what I am doing til its shot. Ralph actually posed today, I thought that was cool. Ralph is my 'cats', Justin. http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...ps5912153f.jpg http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...psee2fd548.jpg http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...ps3b4efb82.jpg |
