St Bernardus Abt 12 is my all time favorite beer!!!
I find it strange that I have never tried anything else from St Bernardus.

I'm on a Triple run right now since I can't find my "go to" Orval. One thing I miss and I can't find here is a good porter.

I got most of these at a 50% off sale. I didn't care for the underworld. I have yet to try the gargoyle.

MAN, it has been a long time since I hauled anything. I got so wacky wit it early on that at my slow pace,
it took some time to drink it down. It still took a long time even after I started having one with my couple
cigars per week. I still have plenty left, too. I am eye-balling my ONE Dragon's Milk stout for this weekend.
I almost just left the store. There was a Brew-Dog stout from irish whiskey barrels that was 16 bucks
for what looked like a ten ouncer. (OK it was 330 ml, and it was 'paradox Jura' ) But it almost put
me so OFF MY OATS that I left the store with one measly rack. But then I remembered you people.
I know how you live vicariously through me. At least Greg does.

We made a trip to a local shop and picked up a bunch of new stuff. I put it away without thinking of taking a picture. Got some Furthermore Fatty Boombalatty, and several stouts. :) Can't remember exactly what ones off the top of my head, though.

Ha ha! Do it! It's worth it, IMO. It's a very unique beer, but works well for my palate. :) And I'm manly enough for the pink bottle, too. :p

I was surprised to see it still in stock at my local beer store . They had quite a bit of it left. I may have to go back and get some more.

2012 Goose Island Lolita - Lolita is a pink rose colored Belgian style pale ale fermented with wild yeast and aged on raspberries in wine barrels. Aromas of fresh raspberries, bright jammy fruit flavors and crisp, refreshing body make Lolita ideal for beer drinkers fond of Belgian Framboise.

Re: beer hauls

God I thought surely I would NEVER post a reply here without a picture, like those OTHER people.
But here we go. I guess I could wait til it comes in on the truck, but I want to brag NOW!

2 4 packs of Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout
2 4 packs of Rasputin Imperial Stout
1 12 pack Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
1 6 pack Rogue Hazlenut Brown Nectar Ale
1 6 pack Victory Hop Wallop

$84 plus shipping of $29....in the end I guess I might have found some of it cheaper locally
but not all of it and that was kind of a deal-breaker. I am not driving around all afternoon.

People who know I "hate" Hop Wallop should understand that I am not sure
my Brother-in-Law would drink all that sludge I got for ME....He normally drinks
Land Shark, either because it's cheap or because he likes it light and hoppy.

I had it on tap at Founders during the KBS release. It was not memorable then, and I really didn't want to buy it now. But I figure I wasn't impressed because they also at the same time had this Sumatra Mountain Brown that was better than KBS. So my taste buds were too excited by that beer to give a unbiased review of the Frangelic Mountain Brown. Review to come next week.

I skipped this release.. I'm weeding out some stuff in my cellar, mainly stouts and bigger beers, and slowly getting into Belgian Sours, American Wild Ales, ect. From what I've seen and tasted, I like the changes over time that occurs in Wild Ales..
