Two words... Go Gators!!!

Re: Official College Football Thread
The ACC may not deserve much respect, but they certainly do not receive any either. My Tar Heels entered season ranked 21st, win their first two weeks, and dropped to 24th in polls. So today they beat ECTC - uh, I mean ECU - which I suppose means they will drop out of Top 25 altogether.

Re: Official College Football Thread
Well, our defense better figure something out before next weeks ND game because they couldn't stop anybody today! Hopefully this isn't what the rest of the season is going to look like!
|
Re: Official College Football Thread
Disappointed in the Gators, but the Vol's defense and running backs were very impressive. Poor USC, 0-12 Wash of last season pulls a ridiculous upset. Poor Utah

I'm not so impressed with my Hokies. Offense is still pretty much nonexistant, but the defense held Nebraska to field goals 5 times. Wish they were that tough across the rest of the field, not just the last ~20 yards. |

good game anyway, apparently he tested positive for the flu on monday and didn't practice til thursday. That may have been why he was "not so hot" in the first half oh and I heart Will Muschamp (no homo, well maybe a little) |

Pumped for tonight, Purdue vs. ND!!!!

Re: Official College Football Thread
Lets go blue! We'll take some officiating help, why not?! Already better than last season even IF they lose the rest. How did they only win three games last year? Crazy.

Re: Official College Football Thread
I didn’t know that Andy Ludwig was the OC at Cal…..
There is a local radio host that is a recent grad of the University of Utah, football team captain ect. He crucifies Ludwig all the time and today is at it again…. Someone reminded him that Ludwig is at Cal now, his comment “Oh, that explains the 10 reverses I saw them run Saturday.” :r Never seen a guy that had the success that he had, get sooooo much negative press while he was coaching a winner. Add to that, he is a “local” guy…. SOOOO many people were happy to see him go. |

Re: Official College Football Thread
The Bearcats won!
Brian Kelly is a genius. He guided a backup quarterback to beat a top 25 team. He saw that USF was going to put all kinds of pressure on the backup QB, so he called a QB draw that resulted in a 75 yard rushing TD by the quarterback :banger |

For the record, that was his first play and got lucky as crap that USF defense decided not to tackle all night. It was 3rd and 16, the play call was not to have the kid throw an interception on the first play. He got lucky and the kid took it 75 yards after a few missed tackles. Not a genius call, thats what any other coach does when his QB gets hurt, first play is usually a run. :tu |

Re: Official College Football Thread
What do you all think about the possibility of Cincinnati playing for the national championship? Mike and Mike on ESPN radio were saying that UC has a shot at it.
We will have to see how good the backup QB will be over the stretch b/c Tony Pike is out for at least next week b/c he got injured last night. |
Re: Official College Football Thread

-They go undefeated with no close games -There are no other undefeated teams from BCS conferences -Boise State doesn't go undefeated -Florida and Texas will likely both need two losses to not play in the championship The Big East is a weak 7 team conference and some would argue that the league should not even have an automatic bid. After OSU's attrocious showing in their last few national championship appearances I wouldn't count them getting in there with one loss either. BCS Rankings come out on Saturday and we'll see where UC falls. Likely they will be above Boise State and TCU for the mere fact that they are in an automatic bid conference. For the record I think that the BCS is a crock of doo-doo :td And if they play in the championship game, UC better get out their checkbook. Because if a PAC-10, SEC or ACC team comes calling with their checkbook Brian Kelly is gone. :2 |

I've rethought my position on UVA. This coming weekend I will be cheering for the Hoos, beat the bumble bees!
And if that doesn't work, I may as well buy my ticket to the Gator Bowl now, 'cause I can't imagine anything short of a natural disaster causing GT to lose to either Wake or Duke... |
