I read a lot of reviews, supposedly the book had a lot of hype, but many readers felt let down. I only heard about it from a coworker recently so I didn't hear all the hype.
I'm only a quarter of the way through the first book but I find I can't put it down. I'm not a big reader so that is saying something. I like fantasy books and so far this one is really good.

Fantasy is all I read really. You should check out Steven Erickson's Malazan: Book of the Fallen series.

I started really reading Ender's game on Friday. I just finished it up - under 48 hours from start to finish :banger. It was a REALLY awesome book - I'm gonna start up Speaker for the Dead now

Right on! I'm really looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Then I think I'm going to go back and re-read Lord of the Rings. I haven't read them in nearly 10 years - the details are rreeaall fuzzy.

Story of the Marines best Sniper. 93 confirmed kills in Vietnam.

Fantastic book.

Just finished microcosm: E. coli and the New Science of Life
by Carl Zimmer
Excellent read by a gifted science writer. Discusses many issues of microbiology/genetics and relates it to general biology. The book focuses specifically on E Coli and the many biological discoveries that have resulted from its study. Anyone with an amatuer interest in biology might like the author's blog

Im flicking through my gospel of the flying spaghetti monster its always on my coffee table but i almost never read it i just leave it there because its kryptonite to Jehovah witnesses.

Watching there faces go from smiles to several levels of shock when you tell them you already have found religion is priceless right before you close the door in there faces.

Finally finished Dominion, started "mere Christianity" by C S Lewis and also "Forest Laird" by Jack Whyte. The latter was sent to me from Canada, as it is not yet in print here in the US. Like most of Whyte's writting, I can't put it down, excellent. Lewis, on the other hand, is a bit of a tough read. Good though.
