Re: First Firearm Thread.
Very cool. 9mm conversions are always a sweet deal b/c it costs less to shoot so you can put more rounds through it!! Always an awesome thing :banger

Re: First Firearm Thread.
A little Wilhelmine Era art in 7x57. Nothing like an action built in late 1896 and the Feds don't care about it.

WWI 1911 (around 1917) original grips are stored. I still shoot this from time to time.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
That 1911 is one of the most beautiful firearms I have seen in a very long time. I am green with envy.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
I currently own a Mossberg Cruiser all black 8 shot, and a S&W M&P AR-15. I gotta mod out the AR-15 and I'm looking at getting a H&K P30 for a carry permit.

Your WW1 1911 is in excellent condition. I would lean towards not shooting it given its potential value. Then again, the one thing I've learned most from my fellow cigar smokers is that you only live once. Try to enjoy life's finer things while you can; don't save them for a special occasion. Make the occasion special. I'm sure every time you take that beauty to the range it makes the occasion special. |
Re: First Firearm Thread.
I say shoot it and enjoy the experience brother...I'm sure you will take care of her regardless.......

Re: First Firearm Thread.
I find it amusing that there is a cup of peppermint chamomile tea sitting next to the Glock 27 on my dresser.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
^so which one calms you more?
|
Re: First Firearm Thread.
Chamomile tea is for making one sleepy or drowsy. I'd say the pistol is definitely for calming...perhaps even for soothing.:D
|
Re: First Firearm Thread.
The tea was to make me sleep and the 27 gives peace of mind to follow through.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
Hey shooters, what would be an affordable, home protection pistol? Don't need a DE or anything, but there have been a few burglaries in our neighborhood lately, and I figure y'all are the ones to ask about this...
