Habs are doing a pretty good job of blowing their playoff chances, 1 W in the last six games. :td

They have some decent match ups in their last five, one of which is a must win against Philly!

In all seriousness though really want to see a sharks win tonight. Getting first will give them the best shot at avoiding the red hot wings for as long as possible.

Fail! was at work and left my phone at home was not checking game status. :r

Really hope they can lock up first, but the way the Flames are comming on they may end up the 8th seed and Kipur in the playoffs is scarry. As I mentioned above the Avs Lost tonight and still have to play the Sharks, Hawks, and Canucks. its very possible they drop 2 or 3 of those. If the Flames stay hot Shawns Flames may grab the 8th seed.

Berschmoozi gets a gift goal from Toronto, where they overrule Tim Peel's call of "distinct kicking motion".

Mike, he only needs 7 in five games to hit 25. ;)

I know I am beating a Dead horse, but the B's can't score.
Last Night was so frustrating. They could have easily won that game against the Panthers last night.
Philly lost they could have gained some ground there and moved into seventh place. The thrashes lost they could have distanced themselves.
And now the Habs have a game in hand and could easily distance themselves from the Bruins.
It is just so frustrating:bh

The guys on NHL Live think Craig has hit the wall. I haven't seen many Avs games since the Olympics? Any merit to this idea?

He sure hasn't been the early season MVP like player.... I am sure he is getting worn down, he has carried them.... I don't know how you can(could) prepare physically or mentally for doing this first time around....

My son will be in Pepsi tonight to cheer them to a win....

A bit late butMy Isles looked pretty good against the Flyers the othe night. First win against them in two years. Yea, maybe w re moing in the rght direction

Now we need to tank the rest of the season and secure the 1st or 2nd draft.
This years UFA list looks preety deep for what the Isles are in need of.

Re: NHL '09 - '10 Thread

Hawks and Devils had a goalie due, 1-0 NJ until 20 seconds left in the game when Versteeg tied it. Toews then had the shootout game winner.

First win for the Hawks in NJ since '97, and first NHL game in almost 10 years without a single penalty called.

Everybody (except the Devils) have looked good against the Flyers lately. :(

Looks like there's a good chance I may be changing my avatar to the Phillies earlier this year. :td

Wings tie it up with 37 seconds left in the game :wo Now to just win in OT, no shootout.

Well Nashville only needed 16 seconds into OT to win, and they clinch a playoff spot with the win :(

No offense but I hope so. I actually dislike the flyers more than the hated Rag Skirts (rangers).

I am glad that Lavvy got another shot. The Isles should have ket him an S-canned Milbury back when he gott the axe.

Overtime...not a big deal for the Bruins if they get the 2, as the Leafs are a non-factor.

That there is a great easter headline..

The leafs may be a non-factor playoff wise, but the make great case fot he B's in the Draft.

PS as long as they do it right

None taken. As much as I want the Flyers to succeed, part of me doesn't want them to make the playoffs either. They are playing terribly, and they aren't going anywhere with the goalie situation they have. Missing the playoffs may cause a bigger shakeup, which seems to be needed for this team. I think Snyder has to realize it regardless if they make it or not though.

Nice win by the flyers. Kind of funny watching Carcillo terrorize Holmstrom all game. Man was he a pest.

Sunday scrap review

Guerin went looking for a fight and did a good job. Clear win and refs jumped in to save Slater as it could have gotten really ugly

Way to go Hawks!

And on a personal note, this Friday I played hockey for the first time in over two years. It was a great feeling to get back on the ice!

Wild was down 3-1 after an empty net goal, and just scored 2 goals in the last minute of the 3rd...Wild game!

icehog3 04-04-2010 10:33 PM

Re: NHL '09 - '10 Thread

BS penalty on the Wild in OT, and the Schmanucks win. 4 on 3 powerplays are tough to defend.

Sharks stole a point last night. They played maybe 20 minutes of hockey last night and stole a point.

Thinkingthe post season may be very short for the sharks this year.

Maybe not, I am thinking it might be pretty short for Nashville and Colorado.

B's Pick up a point 3 ahead of the Rangers, 1 up on the flyers and 1 back of the Habs.

yourchoice 04-06-2010 09:51 PM

Re: NHL '09 - '10 Thread

Great night for the Flyers tonight...they win and both the Rangers and Thrashers lose. If the Rangers don't get a point tomorrow against the Leafs, the Flyers clinch (as far as I can tell). If the NYRs do get a point, the Flyers and the Rangers play a home and home over the weekend to close the season.

As a Flyers fan...go Leafs! As a hockey fan...that would be a hell of a home and home.

But, go Leafs! :)
