Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Great result for USA considering they had nothing to play for -- except the shirt, of course -- fielding a largely inexperienced squad, not playing particularly well, yet still managing a 2-0 win.
:usa Looking forward to getting back to BPL action, despite the wonky start from my boys. |
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Dave- that Adnan Januzaj was pretty impressive and is very young, will be pretty interesting (and scary) to see him grow as a player this season!

Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
:fp More dropped points. At home, no less.
At least Liverpool drew as well. Small consolation, that. |

Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Bump- YNWA, Chelsea v City game was one hell of a game, Torres got his first goal of the premier league this year, one third what Suarez scored on Saturday, not trying to sound like a complete douche but how do you think he feels, at Liverpool he was a hero and adored, yes he plays champs league and and won it with them but still he's outshined by so many players there and will most likely get shipped back to Athletico at some point soon!should have never left, I'm glad he did for obvious reasons, but he shouldn't have made the move!
|
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Tough week for the Reds.
Arsenal is playing really well. I still can't stand Arse-hole Wenger. He is humble when he wins but Arsene Whiner when he doesn't. |
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
His French accent pisses me off the most! Let's pray for a united-gunners tie this weekend!!

Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
This season is awesome, the teams at the top of the table are so diverse finally a change from the past few years! Nice to see Everton, Southampton, and Newcastle all fighting for a top spot! And obviously very excited to see Reds in 2nd!

We're finding ways to win games in Champions League at least. Hopefully we'll make some quality signings next month. I'm forever an optimist when it comes to my club. But I can see the writing on the wall. It's probably too late for us in the league this season. But, hey, all United fans knew this day would eventually come. It's a time of transition for us. Only a fool would've expected Moyes to pickup where Fergie left off without a stumble. I believe my Reds will eventually be back on top. Just not as soon as I'd like. |
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
BIG game on Sunday, very nervous! But will set the pace for the next few games No Sturridge and Bo Captain Fantastic!! If we win this it will not only boost morale but also bring in better talent next month, looks like Alberto is out and unfortunately Aspas has to stay due to lack of attacking options unless we can bring some in ( was reading Real Betsis and Valencia want him) would love to loan him out or get rid of him all together!! As for Skrtel I don't know what to say 2 OG's in last 3 games! I've loved him in the past but if Rafa still wants him in Napoli cash in and rebuff midfield ( Drexler) and an EXPERIENCED AND PROVEN attacker! Champs league 2014 come on Reds- Walk ON!!!!
|
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Oh what a victory, Paulinho def deserved a red, his leg curled right into Suarez after he missed the ball with malicious intent! Jon Flanagan got his first goal at such a young age and as a defender, also as a born and raised Scouse, for the team he grew up supporting Great to see that!! YNWA! Excited to see what happens in Jan transfer window! Champs league here we come!! Walk on boys!!

Paulinho deserves more than a red. Vicious tackle is an understatement. And if Suarez had been the perp, folks would be screaming for a long-term ban. FIFA wants to clean up the game. Punishment for crap like this should be severe. :2 |
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Very true, he might get a decent punishment because he is Latin American, if FIFA wants to clean up everything like the big push for anti-racism/anti-semitism like they had when Euro Cup was in very racist Ukraine it should change how it handles things!! Suarez got a huge ban and fine for the- his word against yours incident with Evra. And John Terry white English Captain gets NOTHING for calling Ferdinand racial slurs, caught on video and still gets absolutely nothing! Now that was a disgrace! Anyway YNWA

Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
What is going on with our transfer policy, big blow losing Salah, pathetic we've been trying since December and Chelsea come in and sign him in 24 hours! We need new talent pronto. If it truly is FSG fault they need to go and we need someone willing to spend when we need to! I feel like Liverpool is only a side project for them and all they care about is the Red Sox this is bull sh*t!!! Man U was allotted £130M, we can't sign someone for 12?
|
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Today's Stoke City/Man U match is pretty entertaining.
|
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Love the score, Tottenham tie is great too! Big game for us tomorrow there will be a 4 point gap between us and Everton which we need have some tough games ahead of us Gunners, Spurs, and United! YNWA!
Peter 2 things- What are your thoughts about FSG/ Ian Ayre not closing one deal in January? I'm beyond disgusted! Enrique, Lucas, Agger, and Johnson all injured, Gerard love him but he's an injury liability and Allen blows!! How can you not sign one decent (strong) Midfielder? 2- I guess well see tomorrow but how about the debacle between S&S at the end of Merseyside Darby? Looked like Suarez wanted to strangle him hope that was cleared in the locker room! |

Great results all around for LFC, love Man U not winning always brings a smile to my face, City drawing with Norwich, wish it was a draw but if either team was to win today I would've preferred Spurs, didn't really expect Chelsea to lose, but obviously best of all was the spanking LFC put on the Gunners!!!!!

Great comeback for the reds, Coutinho's goal was sick. Another winless game for United!:D

Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Your joy is my sorrow as, with yesterday's loss, Fulham remain bottom of the table. :(
|
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Sorry to hear that! But at the same time I'm very glad to have someone on this thread that isn't a huge fan if a well decorated team! Have you ever been to Craven Cottage? My brother in law lived in London for two years and lived in FFC territory, also went Stamford bridge, upton Park, and the Emerites, and said the environment at the Cottage was INSANE! Cheers and good luck
|
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
Nope I've never been. :(
I started following FFC when McBride went over. I've been around for enough of these relegation battles. The Great Escape was amazing but we had Roy for that. Jol destroyed the team and now it'll be a miracle if we can stay up. Chelsea :fl |
Re: Barclays Premier League 2013/14 Banter
My boys squeaked a win in today 11 points clear of United on table :D, and 6 points separating us from Spurs keeping us in a champions league spot!! All I can say is this!- I hated Jonjo Shelvey at his stay at Liverpool and he scored a VERY important goal and it was a FANTASTIC goal his low key celebration was a beyond class act and was even more of a class act to see the Liverpool Faithful stand up and clap for his actions and fire cracker goal is why I love this game!
