Oh,the horror. Patrick Kane is joining our wonder boy Tyler Seguin in Switzerland.
It's bad enough Seguin is running wild banging everything in sight, now with Kane on the same team they might just get deported?:D

The NHL is playing hardball, douchebag style. I hope the players continue to tell them to shove it.

NHL..has there ever been such a poorly run organization in the history of sports?
Winter Classic will be canceled tomorrow so they don't have to pay Michigan Three million.

Hello. These strikes/lockouts really get to some of the fans. When friends lament about these matters I tell 'em to get outta the house, go outside, and PLAY! I see you reside where that's a year-round option, us midlanders have a hard time doin' the recreation thing along about this time on the calendar.

My Saturday this week is my oldest son age 7 has roller hockey practice with the Jr. Inline Sharks travel roller team at 7am, supposed to then go to Oakland 1hr drive to play a few ice hockey games 10-2pm with his travel ice team Santa Clara Blackhawks. Then hes supposed to play a game on his inhouse ice team that night 6pm. My son loves hockey and skates 4-5 days a week. He also does Judo with my oldest daughter who is 4. Trust me I am rarely sitting around my house. Cant wait till baseball season starts so we can try to squeeze that in.

We have the ECHL SF Bulls. This is their first season, but its an hour both ways freeway driving. Other issue is no time and money is strapped with all the kids activities. The $20 per month for the package is about all I can afford.

icehog3 10-31-2012 02:42 PM

Re: NHL '12 - '13 Thread

Yup, that's a lot of driving, etc for the Bulls, Mike. Lemme know what you think of the package if you get it.

Okay this is probably a stupid question but I'll ask it anyhow: I have very basic cable TV, no sports packages etc. Nor have I ever had a satellite dish or the like.

Are people getting any sort of discount on their bills based on the fact that there's no NHL hockey currently being played, hence no new games to watch?

icehog3 11-09-2012 10:25 PM

Re: NHL '12 - '13 Thread

Yes....I didn't get billed for Centre Ice this season.

Besides that, I haven't heard of any discount anywhere on Dish or cable because of hockey.

For fuc& sakes this needs to end. I watched basketball the other night. My wife walked in the room and just started laughing. I cant remember the last time I watched basketball. I dont think I will be doing that again. I am about to pony up money to watch minor league hockey.

This is an owner problem.
At least four teams should be eliminated why should players pay for their bad business decisions?
And F Jeremy Jacobs he is spear heading this bull crap.

Sakic, Bure, Oates, and Sundin in the HOF. I remember hating Sakic and Oates when they were on the Avalanche. Great players. Sundin was my Canadian cousins hero. I remember seeing some amazing plays from Sundin. Spent the past 20 minutes watching highlights—amazing.

A bright light in a bad situation. Wish this lockout would be over already.

The league announced its latest round of cancellations on Friday - Day 69 of its labor lockout. All games through Dec. 14 were wiped out, and this time All-Star Weekend, scheduled for Jan. 26-27 in Columbus, Ohio, was lost, too.

Yea I don't know where I pulled that out of. Probably because I should have been studying instead of posting :r :bh

I wonder if the NHL could collapse because of this lockout.

Not much hope for the owners-players meeting set for today, since that jerkoff owner of the Bruins, believed to be the owner's ringleader in the lockout, is participating.
