Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
My picture doesn't really help that much... this one may be a bit better:
http://i725.photobucket.com/albums/w...x/CIMG0396.jpg I think that's 92 sticks... |
Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
any thoughts on Duracoat? My buddy (tikihut27) has painted guns with it... Says it is applied by airbrush and is pretty tough stuff..

Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
Have you ever watched American Chopper? You are only a few hours away from Nubs and Justin. Like the show or not, they did some pretty sick paint jobs.

Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
I'm looking to get it done for a reasonable price. I know that 'reasonable' is a subjective term, but under $100. That duracoat stuff is inexpensive and apparently made to bond to stuff like brushed aluminum and make a nice, hard coat.

Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
Wow... everything I've read about duracoat sounds like it'd be the perfect solution! all ya need to do is scotchbrite the aluminum a bit and it's good... plus, it's apparently super-hard and would be very difficult to chip.
Crazy thing is, the paint and hardener is only around $20. I'm gonna play with some pictures and see what color I'd like best. Blue would be unique, but black is always an awesome choice. Decisions, decisions... |
Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
This color appears to very popular with the NY crew.

I still have to decide if I'm gonna do it, but if I did I was thinking either black or blue... like, this color: http://www.houtsenterprises.net/medi...OSHABLUE_C.jpg Of course, leaving the locks and stuff silver. May have to do the handle too. |
Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
Well... the case was painted but came out a baby blue (Geoffrie called it infantry blue or something, I forget). I'm gonna email Duracoat and see what happened. I'll post a couple pics once I snap em.

Re: Customizing a Zero Halliburton
I can see why you're disappointed Dan, but the Matte Black one looks bad as hell :banger
Was that done using the same product? |
