We lost our 11 year old boxer, Kelly, a couple weeks ago.

I know how you feel Carlos, I had to do the same thing to my cat a few years ago and hurts like hell, and even though it won't comfort you right now, in a few weeks the thought that you did the right thing will be comforting a bit.
