G'z pm'd me that he had rec'd the "unit" and wanted to "play" with "it" before "coming" to any conclusions and passing it along to the next guy.

Hey, all.
Got a box in today's mail. Woo-hoo! Lots 'o goodies. Some of the cigars are looking rough because not all of them are in sleeves. I've put everything in my humidor for now until I send the box on to Georgia. I just used the press for the first time and DANG it makes a good cup of joe.
Thanks again, Moo, for letting us try this thing out. I think I'm sold but I want to try it out a few more times. It's easier to clean and use than I thought it would be.
My camera is at work so I'll have to wait until Monday to take pictures.
Have a safe night tonight; there'll be a lot of drunks on the roads.

OH BTW! If you're looking for an aeropress, amazon has the best deal I saw, and then you can get the filters for a few bucks, and get it all with free shipping. *love mine*

Too late for pics. I sent the box on it's way yesterday. It is going to be on a Georgia porch tomorrow by way of Untied Parcel Service. :cb
I've never had coffee that smooth. Not a trace of bitterness. Thumbs up for the Aeropress.
Thanks again for letting us try it out, Dan.

Got it safe and sound. I'm getting ready to head out of town, but I'll be sure to tackle this project first thing Monday morning. :tu

Pending further inspection, Mooster, I'm going to keep it at smooooth. Further addition of o's will be witheld until results indicate otherwise. ;)

First pass at this wasn't terribly successful. Most of the water had drained out before I pressed, and I'm pretty sure I used way too much water to grinds. I ended up with a slightly flavored milk drink that wasn't too bad, but I wouldn't order one in a restaurant.

Will try again today.

Sounds un-smooth. Finer grind, maybe?

Re: AeroPress AeroPass in Motion - Additions Welco

I have it set on the finest grind possible, but I'm still having the same problem. Maybe if I poured the water a little more slowly, it would allow the filter to form a better seal.

Also, is the plunger supposed to touch the coffee on the way down? Seems to me the air ahead of the plunger is what is actually forcing the water through the grinds and filter.

Didn't get a chance to use it this morning, but yesterday's results were somewhat better. If it's alright with the group, I'd like to hold on to this through the weekend. :)

You did use a paper filter, right?
