I had the PB transmission in my '63 Plymouth (loved that Slant 6!)

My 69 Camaro had the floor high beam switch. Replaced it every few years. Seems like the sand or something would cause it to wear out. I actually prefer it to the signal stem switch.

^^ THIS ! How big a pain is it to get comfortable with your left arm up on the window for 10 seconds only to be forced to move your left arm, grab the lever, pull the lever to dim the lights, wait for the oncoming car to pass, flip the high beams back on, put your left arm on the window for 10 seconds, wash-rinse-repeat.

Much better to keep your arm comfortable and just tap-tap with your left foot.

$69 in '66 was a small fortune for a bike. The Schwinn 5 speed fastback was the coolest thing on two wheels.

And I had the 3-speed version. My parents couldn't afford the 5 speed on a NCOs pay :)
