They showed some serious dominance Last night.
But let's put the nail in the coffin and don't let them get any hope.

Then we have the Torres suspension. Which is a steaming pile of bs. For voicing facts about the suspension Wilson was fined $100k.

For this

I just see too many strange things in this strike shortened season.

I agree the disallowed goal was a bad call that did change the game but, so was the non-call (when Franzen was boarded) that led to the Hawks first goal. Pasting a guy in the numbers sending him face first into the glass has been consistently called for the past 4+ years in both the regular season and playoffs. Given the league's recent overwhelming concern for preventing head injuries I was stunned they didn't make that call.

It has been a heck of a series. Glad to see my Wings up 2-1 but if they can't win again on Thursday, it's a best of 3 with 2 of them in Chicago.

A lot of the local talk is how this post-season the Wings are a low seed, jammed with rookies/young talent, with few expectations coming in, and have no pressure. In the past as a high seed they would often carry play, outshoot an opponent 50-20, yet struggle to scratch out goals & wins against young teams with a good goalies.

It's been fun to watch and I really look forward to seeing some of the youngsters progress. Nyquist, Brunner, Anderson, DeKeyser, Smith, Erickson, and others are all very young and getting better every game. That said, they are also still prone to mistakes you don't expect from your vets.

Apparently Brad Richards is a healthy scratch for the NYR in their elimination game tonight....

Wonder how the Rangers, Rangers front office and fans are feeling about that 60M contract....

Wings youth definitely playing fast and loose. Kind of that house money feeling I guess. I hope the Hawks find their sack and fast. If my two teams get elliminated this early it will suck.

As horrid as the refing was in 2 and 3 of S&K series I thought game 4 they did a decent job of not controling the outcome. Wont get to watch game 5 though as got to get up in the middle of the night to drive kid to socal for 2 hockey tournaments.

If you thought that officiating was bad you should have seen the B's rags game.
Three bruins cut wide open with sticks and no calls?

It was something watching Bergeron being stitched up on the bench and not missing a shift.

The Rangers have not had a penalty called on them in a few games.
I expect more of the same tonight?

Looks like MSG has turned into the Montreal Forum.

Agree. Rumor has it he demanded the owners open their checkbook a bit and get more talent in there. Could be a good hire plus can't wait until he goes off on someone.

Slipped on a banana peel, Chara had his pocket picked in the back of the net,Hamilton was out muscled for a score.
That's the last we will see of him.

B's did not bring the physical game no fore
checking, looked like a pre season game.

Bruins will close it out tomorrow ,bet the farm on it.

To many men penalty led to a score just like when it cast us a cup and the come back in 2010 by the flyers.

Bruins will close it out tomorrow bet the farm on it.

I hate Patty Roy. The only time I like seeing him is the picture after Vernon opened a gash in his face. If I was playing against his team, I might be tempted to clear a puck or two into his bench hoping I could catch him off guard. ;s

I remember his 147X goalie sweaters he used to wear. I think he ordered them for the Spirit of Detroit, but wore them during the playoffs instead.

Roy hate aside; I'm glad the Wings held on last night. Heck of a game. I enjoyed a RASCC and a Famoso while watching. The W is what made it worth while. It's kinda fun watching from the other side of the fence regarding the President's Cup curse. :po

Re: NHL 2013 Thread

B's can't get in a shoot out with the pens.
You have to bang them, dump the puck and take advantage of Vakoun.
B's should get opportunities the pens turn the puck over quite a bit.
That's the way I see it.

The Bruins have a better chance of winning the 2-1 and 3-2 games
If the scoring through out the series goes 4-5 and more the pens have this series.
I'm hoping for a super tight game by the B's
Don't get I to a shoot out

I love they beat the Rangers

Yea watched a bit of the MCF and have been reading a lot on MacKinnon. I just wonder if the Avs can take another C, when they have 3.....

They have a HUGE need for a #1 blue liner.... Maybe, if Jones can be that guy....he'd take pressure off Johnson and he could flurish.... If wishes were fishes....:r

Duchene is going nowhere, I think Stastny is gone at the end of the year and O'Reilly has value, but cannot be moved until the end of February.... Maybe try to trade him then, but if that didn't work and there already seeming to be bad blood there....UGH. That is not to say that MacKinnon cannot just move to the wing, thoughts are he is NHL ready now & has played there.

If the Avs don't get some D in front of Varlamov, they are never going to win....I don't care how many scorers they have....

They could take MacKinnon at #1, move him to the wing and hope to pick up some blue line help later..... Or Jones at #1 and hope he turns out to be what everyone thought Erik Johnson would be.....

Draft Glaring Need > Draft Potential :sh

I am glad my job is not riding on this decision.....

Though I will be rooting for the Sharks tomorrow, it is interesting to note that if the Kings win, the 5 remaining teams will be the last 5 Stanley Cup winners....

2009 - Penguins

2011 - Bruins
2012 - Kings
