Perhaps it's stupid because it can cost you financially. I have another idea;

Loser shaves his head and posts a pic of themselves in a skirt and the opposing team's jersey being worn in their city's downtown area?

:hm now ya got something there ;)

Judging from this thread and the pissed off Red Sox fans whining on it, the Yankees obviously did something right this Off Season.:D

Funny thing is the OP was in the CC Sabathia thread saying how much the Sox could use Texiera before the Yankees took him away at the last minute.

He then says how MLB has hit rock bottom because the Yankees paid him 1.5 million a year more than Boston was willing to pay.

Under that theory, my home town of Orlando has hit rock bottom because Shaq and Tiger Woods bought homes in Isleworth's gated community and only live there part of the year.:al

If you can afford to buy a pennant, more power to you. Steinbrenner needs a bailout about as much as Wayne Huizenga did when he bought a championship with the Marlins.

farm system my ass...

I don't care about the nonsense in this thread, all "professional" athletes and other "celebrities" are grossly over paid.

not sure where you're gettin the whining. seems like the sox fans are doing about the same level of trash talking as the yankees fans.

I go to almost every home game, and I've never been to a game where I get into any argument with a yankees fan, we usually shoot the sh!t the entire game, comparing (not arguing) stats and all that good stuff.

That's the way I always remember Yankee Stadium since I started watching games there in the early 70's with my Dad. It was always one big love fest and we often treated Red Sox and Dodgers fans to hotdogs and gave up our seats if they wanted them.:r

Actually, the Red Sox weren't much of a factor back then and it was usually the Dodgers that were in our way of another title.

My how times have changed.
