Been working on this thing all day. Sanded all of the cedar trays, resealed the interior doors, added a brass door latch and interior lighting. While I wait for the Hydra LG to arrive, I started seasoning it by adding 20 rectrangle humidifiers, 4 bowls of distilled water, and running the broken Oasis II XL that only reads "LLL" on the display since I cleaned and plugged it up.

Did you not try the blow dryer method I posted in your other thread before 86'ing the idea of using the Cigar Oasis?

Nice, very nice.

I just ordered an Avallo 1200 and showed my wife yours so I could say "see, mine isn't that big"... thanks.

Yes I tried it Duane, same results. The guy I bought it from even said that's what it does....I have already ordered the Hydra LG, just waiting...hopefully it will be in sometime next week.

Ok, just wanted to check. If the method had already been tried, makes sense.

I think it's time to get that thing filled up now. :r

Howard, how soon till your Hydra shows up? You can use my Humicare (hydra copy) until then if you want. I'm going to be taking it out soon from my cabinet. The Shilala beads are holding steady now the furnace isn't running much.

I ordered it on Friday, I believe it should be here by Wednesday. I am just trying to season it right now and it seems that the rectriangle humidifiers and bowls of distilled water is working OK for now, but I appreciate the offer.

If the Hydra isn't here by mid week, I may take you up on it...plus....its a good excuse to herf at my house. I will keep you informed and thanks again Bob.

Yes Shawn, I finally got it setup and filled. It took about a week to make fine tuning adjustments with the Hydra, beads, and moving a few boxes around. It took a total of about 3-4 weeks from seasoning to an almost perfect humidity level of 68%. I will post photo's on another thread soon. Thanks for asking.
