Thanks for the link Brooks. Maybe I missed it in the article but what exactly was the misinformation going around about this stick?

Mostly size issues, (some saying 52 others 50 and 54) and how many were being sold total...

Hope that helps!

There are a lot of others in the same position out there that have nothing but what they're reading to go by.
I look at the PT vs the BR 100th as something that may be along the same line as the Daisy Cutter vs the ?. A little more money, but for a little more tobacco...

Walt, I agree with you to a certain extent. It is an overall bigger cigar, but you're right that if it's being touted as the same cigar just a different size, it would be hard to justify the price increase.

Now having said that, I only got a 5'er of the Tenderloins and I wish I had bought three bundles. The fact that I have the opportunity to get the same blend in a different size is worth every penny to me :2 I realize that's not going to be the case for everybody, but it is for me.

I'm not negating anything about this stick. The PT is the cigar that the locals that got some, are using as the measuring stick by which they judge all other smokes that have come after it...in regards to flavor, price and overall value. I'd cheerfully spend another couple of bucks for a bigger version of the same stick. Actually...PT singles sold for $10 a stick.

The Viaje reference I used was meant as a comparison to the justified price difference between one size stick to another.

I see, well looks like we're pretty much on the same page then, haha ;)

Interesting you say that this is THE cigar that people have been judging other new smokes by. I know people liked it, but I thought I was crazy loving them as much as I did.

I was actually SHOCKED when a couple of those people (I'm not as much a Gospel of the PT follower) said they couldn't do anything when I was trying to scrape others together to maybe split a box locally. The Face and S&B's seriously dented peoples wallets. I'm still paying back favors done for me... :sad

The update this weekend (they called me) was that there was a delay from the factory. Tatuaje was supposed to get these in mid to late last week, send them to Barclay, and then Barclay would have these available in store and shipping them out early this week.

Tatuaje ended up not getting them last week so the word is they are getting them early this week, Barclay will get them late this week, and they're expecting them to ship out early next week.

Just got news, they will not be shipping till March. Sucky.

If you got on the list I wouldn't worry too much. They were calling me to confirm something different, not that I was on the list. They just happened to give me the FYI about the delay with the anniversary cigars.

He said they would be calling the sale confirmation once they actually get them in the store.
