*IF* my only option is to swap 2 guys, will that work?

I had BOTH RWs in late games, and one benched RW with an early game. Wanted to make use of ALL of them.

What about dropping a player on IR? and adding one to replace him. Does that take place immediately or at the end of the day?

Once a player begins a game, he is locked in and you cant move him that day. So say you have 3 RWs and 2 RW spots, if one player plays an early game you cant swap him out for a later game.

Dropping and adding usually takes a day or two. Not sure the exact length but it will tell you before you confirm it. Also, our league has an IR spot on the bench. If a player is on the real-life IR, you can move him to the IR spot on your bench and add a new player without dropping one. However, when this injured player recovers and you want to bring him back, you must drop a player to conform to the legal roster size.

So you have 3 RWs and two RW positions. Leave two assigned to RW positions and the other RW put in the UTIL position and he will count for that. :tu

Here's to Jimmy Howard getting me my first SO of the season! I went from second to last to first place with last nights games. I hope it stays this way for the season but it's a long season!

Tough weekend. Went home and my internet was out and had Tavares and Semin on the bench on Saturday. Both of them had hat tricks :(

That hurts.....

I wish I picked up Rene Bourque.....had him on my watch list. The day after Tom picked him up he scored 2 goals....nice pick up!

Why are hundreds of Yahoo teams dropping Zherdev?

Possibly because of his stats.....1 goal 1 assist and -1 for a winger isn't going to win you points and he's on the 4th line :sh

What is his ice time per game?

Not sure, he played a bunch tonight and the Blue Jackets announcers were talking about him, saying that the Flyers front office told him to sh*t or get off the pot, they expected more from him.

I only asked because I saw the headlines on Yahoo that tons of people were dropping him.

Zherdev probably got more ice time tonight because Kristian Huselius is out hurt.

Time to bring some life back into this thread. I'm in 5th place hoping to move to the top but I doubt that will happen. If I stay in 5th I will far better than last year. :D

Damn, call me out like that! :r Well maybe you won't be in 5th after tonights games. So far I've got 6 goals, 9 assists, +8, 20 PIM, 2 PPG, 6 PPA, 1 GWG and my goalie won with 1.0 GAA, 25 SV and a 96.2% SV%

:D

If it was a head to head league, maybe....but one big night doesn't always translate like that late in a Rotisserie league.....now maybe if you had 2 short handed goals and two short handed asssits. :fu: :r

Go to the league page....click on standings. It tells you how many points (and stats) you have in each category, so you know how far ahead or behind you are in each one. Each time you pass someone, you gain a point and they lose a point. Vice versa when you are passed up in a category. :)

Gopernut looks to have locked this up, and looks like a 3-way photo finish for second between Cohiba, Boston Bruisers and SophHogs. Congrats to Steve for a season well played, PM me that address to pass around. And good luck to the others, and for a great season to all! :D

EDIT: I just got back 0.5 points thanks Johnson's GAA (we are tied), however, if Lehtonen makes more than 20 saves than you will take sole possession of 2nd.

Re: '10-'11 CA Fantasy Hockey Sophomore League

They do adjustments overnight for "official scoring", so I don't put any stock into standings on StatTracker until 4AM CST. A tie for second would be most fitting after this season, Jon, even a 3 way tie with Shawn involved would be right.

Jon and I show tied for 2nd, but we will wait until tomorrow for the offical stats to see if that was a tie. Congrats to the BIG winner, Steve! :wnr

Jon, I need your addy, congrats on tieing for 2nd place!

PMs will go out after I get Jon's address. Everyone will send two cigars (CC or Premium NC) to Steve...half of us will send 1 cigar to Jon, and half will send one cigar to that icehog character.

Thanks to everyone for playing, I hope you had fun, and I hope you all will get in the Junior (3rd year) League next season :D

Just sent you a PM Tom. What a great finish....I haven't played fantasy hockey in a long time so it was fun getting involved.

Just curious to see if anyone picked up an undrafted player early on that shined for them most of the season. For me it was Tim Thomas.

I tried to answer any questions that anyone had about scoring, and will try again next year with all who return. I had to figure it out for myself my first year, so it is nice to have experienced guys here who can give you a little help if you ask. :)
