So forgive me for not keeping up on that rough night in The Bronx with that awful game time temp...I was over at Croatan's house watching the Oprah marathon. Did we win? [Zen bats eyelashes] [batting practice pays off] :r |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
And did you learn that eye-flutter up in Chicago, or is it something you picked up from the Texas belles? ;)
It was a decent game, up to a point anyway. Andy was good, and Lee was better. I predicted elsewhere that A.J. would get hammered, so we'll see if your Rangers can put a stranglehold on the series tonight. But to quote the quintessential Yankee, "It ain't over 'til it's over". :ss |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
How 'bout them Rangers???
|
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
the Rangers are looking very good. Hate to be to positive and jinx them. Anyway, another good game, i think they could go all the way.

Not a Rangers fan but I am a Giant's hater!
Let's tie this series up!!! Come on!!! |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Hopefully Big Game Tommy Hunter will have a good outing and the Rangers can put together another win tonight.

Re: Texas Rangers Fans
I'm gearing up right now to go to my first World Series game EVER! I'm so excited, especially after last night's win, that I can barely concentrate.
GO RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banger:noon:D |

Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Way past time to bring this thread back.
Series number 2 on the way. Mariners at the Rangers. Holland, Ogando, Wilson versus Bedard, Pineda, Hernandez. Another opportunity to send a message to the bottom feeders of the AL West of what this season is going to entail. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Magic Number: 1!!!
Im not making any playoff predictions... but this Rangers team is one of the most complete teams I have seen. And, talk about getting hot at the right time... 162+ |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
We sure laid an egg yesterday!
|
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Here's hoping Wilson gets back to winning form. Bullpen looks awesome. Bats will be cracking for the Rangers come tomorrow!!!!! GO RANGERS!!!!!!
|
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Should be a good series!
|
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Congrats to the Rangers and their fans for getting to the ALCS. I hope you all understand that I will be rooting for the Tigers. ;)

Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Good win for Texas. It would have been tough going home down two. Yeah!!
|
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
2012 under way...first time through the rotation. 6-2. Here's my thoughts so far: Impressed with Lewis. Time will tell if he's better than last year.
Holland looks great, as does Harrison. Both matured and expecting good things for a long time to come. Once Darvish got the rookie jitters out, he rocked it. Hope he's settled down now. Feliz making a smooth transition. And the BOOMSTICKS out again this year. Kinsler has 4 HRs in 8 games. Let's hope they keep it up!! I think 3rd time will be a charm. Best thing is, Angels are in the cellar right now. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Sitting at 8-2. Watching our little Rangers play the twins, I was just waiting for them to come back in the eighth inning. No game feels out of reach.
The Angels will wake up. They will go on a run. They have some injury concerns, but the injury bug will hit the Rangers too. This should be fun. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
I agree. I think the AL West is going to be very closely watched by all this season, although it will basically be a 2 team race. I also think (hope) the young arms for the Rangers will just get better as the season progresses.
As far as injuries, the Rangers have enough good hitting depth that I don't think it will set them back too much. Next year, the AL West gets the Astros. So the Mariners won't be at the bottom of the heap any longer. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Rangers look even better than they did last year. Anyone see Weaver singing along with the "Hit the Road, Jack" song as he walked off the field? Brilliant.
|
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Another series win against the Houston Astros. Is it me or is every media outlet ramming the "silver boot" down our throat? Maybe we will next year, but today, I don't believe there is any shred of a rivalry existing between these two teams.
|
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
It would be more interesting of a rivalry if the astros were a little more competitive
|

Next year we will see a more competitive Astros Team, I believe. We will also start to see the building of a rivalry. Until then, they are just another team on the schedule that just happens to be from just down the road. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
I hope you're right, I get worn out listening to the silver boot garb during the series
|
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
And... we're back.
Texas Rangers fans. Please enter the bunker, find your seat and please be calm in this time of injurious turmoil. Focus on what you have been fortunate to receive from Robinson Chirinos, Martin Perez, Donnie Murphy, et.al. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Strap in, Rangers fans. Yu vs. King Felix tonight!
Of course, you may need to DVR this since we also have Mavs vs. Grizzlies playoff game 1 and also Stars vs. Ducks game 1. What a sportsy sports night! |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Another walkoff. That's the 4th of the year. That was one of the more polarizing games you will watch. Errors everywhere, poor at bats, timely hitting, fantastic pitching. Seems like the norm right now.
No idea why I put errant playoff info on Mavs in the last thread. Was trying to mention the game deciding the playoff position. Whatever. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Yu and the Rangers GRIND to a win last night. Props to them on a tough win against a really good team in the A's.
Really looking forward to Harrison getting back in the lineup this weekend. We get one back and I am hoping Shin Soo Choo is ok. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Rangers win 5-4 versus the A's last night in a game that was absolutely stolen. A's have to be kicking themselves this morning.
Another two injuries last night. Goodness. Beltre and Harrison are back this weekend. |
Re: Texas Rangers Fans
Score tonight?

End of may, 4 game series in Oakland.

Re: Texas Rangers Fans
It may just be me but I wish they would trade Darvish for pitcher that is worth a ****. Don't get me wrong he has a great pitch when it is on..., but when he is having a bad game there is no coming back from it. He is just over rated in my mind for the money that the rangers paid for him.
Rant over.... |
