I would have but there was a three beer per person maximum. :td

Also, considering it cost me $32 for the three I wasn't buying anymore anyway. They're very good beers but for an extra $6 on top of that I can buy an entire case of Dogfish 60 minute.

The Samuel Adams Barrel Room Collection beers are available for purchase at the Samuel Adams Boston Brewery and will be available at select retail locations in Massachusetts, Denver, Colorado, Maine and New Hampshire for a suggested retail price of $9.99 per 750ml bottle in the near future.

My understanding is that these are REALLY limited edition and even once the bottles make it out to the other cities listed above they'll be REALLY hard to find. I guess it's just a good excuse to come to Boston, take a tour of the brewery, and buy some beer. :tu

I made a beer run today for one of our brothers on the East Coast. He wants some local MN brews he can't get back East. While at the shop I picked up this mixed 6'er for myself. Looks mighty tasty.

It's good. Try the Torpedo.

I'm sort of a Sierra Nevada whore. I don't think they make a bad beer at all. Pale Ale, Torpedo, Celebration, Hefe Wiezen, Porter, Bigfoot Barleywine, it's all good.

You could say that, I go in phases. Most of this haul was prompted by Christmas arrivals. I actually went in looking to buy the last of the Dogfish Punkin Ale and somehow forgot to buy it :D

Their Winter beer is pretty rank.

The Dogzilla was a dog. Just not very good. I could care less about it not fitting a "style" of beer since it has both stout and IPA taste, but it just wasn't enjoyable.

The Iniquity is quite a bit better, but I still probably won't be buying it again. If only 21st Amendment Brewing would can Back in Black IPA... I'd buy it regularly. So far it's the only black IPA I've thoroughly enjoyed.

Their winter beer is Celebration, not what I would call 'rank' at all. In fact, I just picked up a couple of 6 packs of it.

Picked up 2 bombers of Yeti Imperial Stout for $5.99 each. I've never had it before, but the reviews are excellent and figured I'd grab it at that sale price.

Got a huge beer haul in the mail today from a beer trade.
The Rogue ceramic bottle was only brewed once and in 2006.
The Lost Abbey Angel Share is only available once a year.

Made a major beer haul today. Tonight I'm going for one of the Surly's. These should keep me busy for a few days. :chr

From left to right:
  • Surly Bender and a Surly glass
  • Trader Joe's Vintage 2009 - made by Unibroue
  • Sam Adams Octoberfest
  • Flensburger Weizen - largely purchased because I want a couple swing-top bottles, but it also has good reviews
  • Corsendonk Christmas Ale gift package with glass
  • Lagunitas Hop Stoopid
  • Sam Adams glass - freebie from the shop keeper
  • Founders Backwoods Bastard

That Sam Adams glass is actually a scientifically designed beer glass. I think there is a page about it on their webiste.

Made another beer haul today. Aside from the Surly Furious, these are all new to me.
  • Surly Furious IPA
  • Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter
  • Furthermore Knot Stock
  • Victory Prima Pils
  • Tyranena Bitter Woman in the Rye
  • Anchor Porter
  • Founders Breakfast Stout - I'm especially looking forward to trying this.

I wish I could, but we can't buy Stone here in MN. One of these days I need to make a trip across the Cheddar Curtain to Wisconsin and buy some stuff there that we can't get here.

Stupid licensing laws. :td

Went out to the store last night to pick up some wine for my wife and also left with a couple He'Brew Bar Mitvahs (I love the name of this beer) and a bottle of Southern Tier Unearthly.

Today’s mini-haul. A couple of local brews, a recommendation and a fruit beer. I usually don’t go for the fruit-flavored brews but was feeling adventurous.

2 – 90 Shilling Ale; O’Dell Brewing Co., Ft. Collins, CO
2 – Leinenkugel’s Classic Amber, Jacob Leinenkugel Brewing Co., Chippewa Falls, WI
1 – Red Rocket Pale Ale, Bristol Brewing Co., Colorado Springs, CO
1 – Wild Blue Blueberry Lager, Blue Dawg Brewing, Baldwinsville, NY

That's a good beer. It was the only Sam Adams beer to medal this year at the Great American Beer Festival.

I drank an Unearthly the other day. Not bad but not great IMO. It was a little too sweet for my taste and I didn't really enjoy the hop finish either.

Nice! I see you even poured it in a Sam Adams glass. :tu

I have a few of these along with some Imperial Stouts and some Imperial Whites in my closet (a/k/a the beer cellar) catching some z's until they make their way into the fridge.
