Its very lonely at the bottom... at least Tom is sticking around to keep me company.

I am getting killed by injuries already =( At least Datsyuk should be playing for me finally!

So who wants to move a top tier goaltender for Vinny L, Kovalchuk or even Crosby?

My team couldn't find the net with a beach ball, Dan.

I might be tempted to move Luongo. I will think on it

I know I will get no sympathy here because of where I am in the standings (which changes quite drastically DTD), but I just have to ***** about the fact that I have SEVEN players on IR??? WTH is up with that!?! And we're not talking about a bunch of chumps, either. Our league has five IR spots and I thought that was crazy. Now I know that it is not enough! Ha!

OK, I feel better now. Thanks for letting me vent. Now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

Injuries seem to be way up in the NHL for early in the season, I have had 6 on the IR already.

Especially since one of them was placed on the IR, then you grabbed him. ;)

Consider yourself lucky that your injured players are actually getting put on the IR list. I think I still have 4 injured guys that I really dont want to get rid of.. but they arent listed as IR so they are still taking a roster spot :td

That blows. I have had to deal with that before. It ties your hands, for sure.

I spent the season a couple years ago near last place until March, and ended up in second. My advice would be not to quit.

:tpd:

Especially in a rotisserie league. All it takes is a couple shorthanded points and you move up big time. The great thing about rotisserie is that you are never really out of it.

Go Tom Go!!

Looks like it across the boards problem in Yahoo Hockey leagues, so I am sure it will get fixed quickly.

Re: '09-'10 CA Fantasy Hockey Alumni League

What's up with the maximum games count? I know how it works, but mine went from negative numbers like -6 & -9 to positives overnight +2 & +5.

I can understand a small swing of maybe 2-3 if you have all positions filled, but the swing I had was drastic.

Dan noticed a few weeks ago that they were wrong, and I found that to be true throughout Yahoo Fantasy Hockey.

AT that time, I went from being +2 or 3 in most categories to high "minus" numbers. Looks like they finally got it all corrected. Unfortunately for some of us, it put us in the high "plus" numbers. I thought the "newer" stats might hold true for the season, and planned my roster accordingly. Now it has come back to bite me, and apparently you too.

romwarrior 12-02-2009 12:48 PM

Re: '09-'10 CA Fantasy Hockey Alumni League

Yeah, it was off by seven games for several weeks. Caused by their stat provider thinking there were 32 teams in the NHL instead of 30 (they added the all star teams). The current numbers are correct.

Fantasy Hockey is on an Olympics break February 15-28. Please see the Help section for more information
This should not have any effect of us as we are not a head-to-head league.

Great season so far, good luck to all after the Olympic Break!

Home stretch time. I was making ground and thought I had an outside chance at 2nd but have lost ground in the last couple of days. It's now officially a battle between Tom and Bigwaved. Should be an exciting finish! :tu

icehog3 03-31-2010 04:02 PM

Re: '09-'10 CA Fantasy Hockey Alumni League

Not necessarily, Brett...my games management was poor the first half, and I am almost done at all positions besides defense. Hoping to hold on to one of the two "money" spots, but I think you have a decent chance for 1st or 2nd based on your better game management. :)

romwarrior 03-31-2010 04:33 PM

Re: '09-'10 CA Fantasy Hockey Alumni League

Yeah, I have about 30 games extra, but in most of the categories that I could gain points I am way behind the person ahead of me. Too difficult to gain points. My only chance is if my goalies turn into stone walls but since they haven't done that for the first 75 games of the season, why would they start now? ;)

Won't stop me from trying, though. :)

Re: '09-'10 CA Fantasy Hockey Alumni League

This season has been crazy, imo. My team is like Sybil. My strategy in the draft was not what I had hoped for. To be really honest, I am surprised that the standings are like they are. Tom is spot on with the end of the season will tighten up since both of us are running really low on games left with the offensive slots. A little off topic, who is willing to kidnap Glen Sather for me? He needs to just go away...:D

Maybe I'd do better, but after two years I still can't figure out how the scoring is calculated.
