Didn't have the exact answer I was looking for but she doesn't mind me smoking cigars....doesn't really care about the buying either....but she doesn't smoke cigars.

Mine likes to have a "taste" or two off almost every stick I smoke....but financial support? Not even close.

she loves the smell of em, will take the occasional puff, offers to buy me any I want, will sit with me for hours while i kill stick after stick.

She liked the smell of it so much, I got her puffin on a Don Lino Africa the other night.

GFD, it was awesome.

My wife is a trooper! 100* out just now and she still sat out with me. Not everday, but at least on the weekends she does.

Although she does not smoke, she makes sure that I get the CI catalog first thing when I come home.
I wonder if she has upped my life insurance.:hm

She's a keeper! :tu

:tpd:

Mine too :tu

I can smoke anywhere including the bedroom as long as it doesn't bug her.

Every now and then she will say "that thing is awe full, and I get up and put it out (If it is) or go somewhere else.

She even smokes a favored one here and there.

I have never lit up in my house because I have young children . When my wife discovered I was smoking cigars I noticed that it kind of endeared me a little more to her , she said "My father used to smoke cigars every day when I was a little girl" . Next gift giving occasion where I was the recipient , she got me a Csonka travel case , lighter and some cigars . And I thought she would be upset that I was "A SMOKER" . God Bless her little heart . I do smoke in my car but never with my wife and kids in it with me . While she has never said I can't smoke in the house , I don't really think I could get away with it , but you never know . :ss

My wife does not mind, she says I could be doing a of worst things. She even drops me off at the local cigar shop and hands me a twenty for a stick or two. God I Love Her!

She doesn't enjoy them so I have to go outside. Really sucks now that it's been 110+ the whole week.

She doesn't mind, just wishes I spent less on them. I tell her collecting cigars is a hobby, much like a stamp or coin collection. Only difference is I get to enjoy members of my collection on a daily basis.

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

My GF is pretty good about the whole thing except the smell sometimes. I do get some complaints about me stinking up her curly fro, but on the flip side she has also commented on how well some of the CC's I had been gifted smelled. As with anything, the amount of money I spend can be a point of contention since I inherited the shopping gene and I OCD out on various things (hence the 80+ orchids in our apartment). She can be quite supportive as well, making sure I can get out to have a smoke or orchestrating trips to the cigar shop (especially since I'm down a car atm). I can't get her to share one though. I did make some headway with a puff or two off my pipe the weekend before last, but I think it was fleeting.

If we had a house, she just stated, that she wouldn't have a problem with having a den/mancave smoking room. Are posts on a message board admissible in court? :D

I always smoke outside unless I am at a lounge. My girl does not mind me smoking but today she commented that I have enough cigars. I actually had trouble finding room for a couple of singles :D

Mine not only supports me, she also has one with me every now and then, goes to a lot of the herfs with me and NEVER busts my balls when "the packages" arrive at the front porch. After 31 years I'm still a happy camper:tu

Heck yes, she even smokes along with me. Used to keep it outside on the covered deck til the temps got in the teens and lower, then she decided the big upstairs room would make a fine herf area! http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...fliers/009.jpg

My wife doesn't smoke, but got me started, first by buying me my first pipe, and later by helping me pick out my first cigars. It's a way her dad and grandfather and I bonded early in our relationship.

That's a big, NEGATIVE!! She doesn't nag me about it, but will make a comment here and there, comments that are not very supportive, I might add.

I just hope, God forbid I die, she doesn't sell them for what I've told her I've paid for them. She could put at least one kid through college. I'm going to have to make a note of that in my will.

Mine tolerates it because she knows it relaxes me,,,,she doesn't like the smell of them and I don't smoke inside but I will not quit and may even have myself buried with a 5 pak when I go,,,just in case!

Re: Does your significant other support smoking ci

My wife is the one that suggested I try smoking cigars, so she doesn't mind. She hasn't smoked one with me, but I think she would.
She just rolls her eyes when a package arrives. She used to call me to let me know one arrived, as if I didn't know.

My wife used to smoke cigarettes. Quit quite a long time ago but still always loved the smell so she actually liked the smell when I started with cigars and then pipes.
She started with flavored cigars herself but now smokes some of mine on occasion with me.

When we were engaged and shortly after we were married, she would take a few puffs off my cigars from time to time. Anymore, she'd rather me go elsewhere to smoke. There must be something that changes in a woman once they give birth that changes their stance on cigars.

I don't even give a rats behind about those who threaten health risks for smoking cigars-after watching my dad who quit smoking for like 30 years and a woman very much like another grandmother who never smoked both die from cancer, you're going to get it no matter what you do and when it's your time to go, it's coming your way in one form or another.

Gimme a shout and we'll meet up...there are a couple of cigar friendly places close to me on the southeast side of Indy.

Broad Ripple is just such a pain in the ass because parking there sucks...I avoid Broad Ripple and the entire northeast quadrant of Indy if at all possible (Castleton/Fishers/etc). I work downtown and there are some decent places there as well.

My gf is not a fan but she knows I'm going to do it cuz I want to so in that aspect she let's me do what I like...but if I changed my mind and sold all my cigars tomorrow she would think she died and won the lottery lol...

No, She did not. She didn't like the smell of any type of smoke. She complained when she came home, and I smelled like cigar smoke, as I may have been out mowing the lawn, washing the car, or just relaxing in the Alabama sun.

I sure miss her.
