Re: Rescue Me

Ok, I was mistaken. My apologies.

It would appear that the show was up for renewal after the fifth season, and FX has signed on for a 18 episode sixth season, plus the comedy tour.

http://blogs.courant.com/roger_catli...pril-7-ge.html

Very sorry for the misleading information.

I am glad you were mistaken, Lane! No worries. :)

Who else thought the dreams that Garrity had in the hospital were out of place and completely boring? One of the funniest moments so far this season is without a doubt the Sheila freak out a couple episodes ago. :r

I loved the look on Gavin's face when she stepped over him as he was cleaning the chassis of the firetruck. It was priceless!

Crazy ***** tension @ the table was awesome, although I really got a kick out of the "Dyke Tyson" line.

I had never bothered to watch this show until this season, thanks to this thread. I can't believe what I have been missing. Even got the wife watching it.

That's what I figured from the moment it was obvious the viewer was in Tommy's dream. Did anyone else catch the name on the back of the firefighter who was stumbling around at the end of the dream? Looked a lot like "Keefe" to me, and I don't think he was dreaming about the dead one...

Also, the Jergens segment was hilarious. It must be a blast to write for this show, but I have to wonder where they come up with some of the more obscure stuff... Perhaps personal experience? :r

I think you are correct on the name. He was Shelia’s husband, Damien’s father, and Tommy’s cousin if I am remembering correctly. He died on 9/11 in the towers collapse.

I assume based on Damian getting the jacket, that it's him.

Tommy mumbled the elder Keefe's name.

Yea I just remembered that he woke up under the towers.

Jimmy Keefe was his name. He died in the 2nd tower collapse. Earlier in this season Tommy was all F'd in the head because he thought Jimmy had died in the first tower.

Huge fan of the show... the thing is, alot of the stuff that goes on in the firehouse (the humourous parts) are maybe a bit over exagerated, but for the most part, not out of reason. Lots of stupid funny silly stuff goes on. Ya gotta be pretty wacked in the head to run into a burning building, which the group of guys on the show portray it 100%

I am waiting to see if they kill off Damien. It will probably be the last episode ending with a cliff hanger for next season.

I think they have killed someone off each year so far.

dubnick 08-18-2009 05:32 PM

Re: Rescue Me

That's true... I just never gave a thought to it being Damien. I thought it was going to be Shawn, but he recovered.

Oh well, guess we have to wait and see.

I think the dream with a couple weeks ago was the forshadowing to it.

dubnick 08-18-2009 05:36 PM

Re: Rescue Me

Forgot about that one... I'm assuming you're talking about the one with the Fire Fighter burning up? And he did have Keefe on the back, but I seem to recall Tommy waking up and calling for Jimmy.

MedicCook 08-18-2009 05:41 PM

Re: Rescue Me

He did say 'Jimmy' but there was only the back seen. He did not see the face.
