I know nothing about MAGS. I would just check with your local gun shop. You might even be able to use buck shot in AL. Not sure so make sure you know what is legal. Have fun. Al |
Re: Lets See Your Hunting Rifles
NJ is shotgun only. I have a 12 ga Remington 870, full choke barrel. I use 00 Buckshot, 2 3/4" shells. I've been meaning to get a slug barrel with a scope, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I have a nice stand to hunt with a scope too...overlooking a field. One of these years.
Opening day is next Monday. I've been seeing an 8-pointer while bow hunting but haven't been able to get him close enough. Last Friday he was 50 yards away or so. If he comes that close next Monday, sayonara. |

Re: Lets See Your Hunting Rifles
I'm disappointed... nobody is posting pictures. So I'll get it started. Here's my.. *ahem*... hunting rifle. (My prey of choice is paper... with an occasional milk jug thrown in... some filled with water... some with jello) :)

Here's my 'special' rifle. Cogswell Harrison 475 Nitro Express (3 1/4"). Built in 1918.

And I made my rifle. It's an Olympic Arms lower receiver, DPMS trigger group, Rock River barrel and upper, and a Colt bolt and carrier. |
