Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
I hope the iphone5 has enough gig to hold my **** collection.
On a serious note, I hope it's 4g. This is too slow for my liking. |
Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
I've been following a few rumor boards and it seems likely June will be the announcement about 5, as there is a large tech convention and it's traditionally the month.
Others say the release will be delayed til September, but how can you delay something that hasn't even been announced? Most seem to agree a complete redesign is in the works. I keep hearing multi core processor, 4 inch screen, some sort of face recognition security system pop up in the discussions. I will also be making a jump from the 3, so it will be huge. After testing a couple droids and really coming close on the Motorola Atrix, there's no question where I'm headed hopefully in June and it won't be for a plastic phone that is sooo much more customizeable. |
Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
I still rock my original Iphone, people are way too crazy about phones these days. I just want something that can text and make calls. Preferably a phone that is capable of fitting in an otterbox.

Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
SOOOOO looking forward to getting rid of my 3GS.. been a pain in the @SS lately with signal, among other issues. Almost bought the 4 but decided to wait for the 5 to come out instead.

Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
Why wait for the 5 when the 6 is rumored to come out by the end of the year.

Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
4G LTE is amazingly fast. I just picked up the new Droid Thunderbolt and the thing blazes so hopefully for Iphone fanatics the Iphone 5 will run on the 4G networks. I swear my phone is quicker than my cable connection. For you Verizon users I hope it comes out before mid Summer as the rumor is they will start tiering their 4G Data plans which is one of the reasons I jumped on the Thunderbolt rather than wait on the Bionic.

http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=...:0&tx=75&ty=55 I woke up this morning and actually made the decision to just wait until Iphone 10 comes out. That way I will be leaping 7 models higher and will be in a similar position as I was when I graduated college with dual majors, and more than likely will be getting hit on by girls half my age. |

Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
all this talk about 4G is a joke, there is NO standard for this. 3G was a big deal because it was a set defined benchmark. 4G is whatever these companies want it to be. At&t being that worst of them. late last year they all of a sudden started advertising the fastest 4G network --when they didnt even have one!

Later on it said "4G is coming soon to several areas around the country" |
Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
The way I figure it, when so many end up switching to 4G and jam that one up, 3G will fly as fast due to less traffic.

Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
So I don't have an iphone 5 yet but I did spend $6 bucks to have my iphone added to a Dev account and upgraded to the iOS 5 Beta 1. It's pretty cool so far. A couple of apps don't work but I don't use them much anyway. The notifications are great. Haven't figured out how to make the tabbed browsing work yet. All in all it's pretty good, and I am sure will be better when it comes out of Beta.

Re: iPhone 5 - Rumors
Oh yeah I meant to add that if you do this you need to copy your backup to another place on your computer cause if you don't you will lose all your apps. The cool think is the upgrade of the app store now makes it possible to see all your purchased apps and reinstall them without paying. I think you could always reinstall without paying but now you have a list in the app store that tells you every app you ever installed and lets you reinstall from that list.
