Thats pretty stupid you ask me!

They should have waited til the spring to do that if they knew you can't smoke indoors there... That or put up a tarp or visqueen around the patio to make it outdoors, but sheltered somewhat from the wind and cold. Thats how I do it on my patio. Works pretty good.

A couple places in our area tried to do this to shield smoking patrons from the wind. No go, had to take it down due to stipulations in the ban. It's not bad enough the nazis have forced you outside in below freezing temps, they won't even allow some allowance to make the discomfort a little more bearable.

Hey guys I'm going to be planning a cigar cruise, except we won't be on a boat and there won't be cigars. McDonalds OK? :r
Man, talk about a major Fail on the promoters part. The venue sounds like it would have worked in late Spring or summer but in the winter???? Someone clearly wasn't thinking.

hahahaha.....my bad....are you even allowed in south Jersey?

It was a small Jersey shop and a friend told me about the event...we had gone to their dinner last year at a different venue, also in winter....smoking and dinner on outside covered porch BUT had the "sides" on the roof so the heat generated by the heaters actually radiated thru-out the room , go figure :sh

Unfortunately I think this is the way things are going. It is not OK to smoke in times square these days!! Back in the 70s you could just about smoke or do anything there now it is all clean and pretty!! My local B&M does not allow smoking!! His in an upscale area and the HVAC for his space is linked in to the rest of the building. He is looking at moving the space to one where he could have a lounge and exhaust. I sure hope this happens soon. I do however make do with my attic and porches.
