Did you ever have a P.F. Flyers' Jonny Quest decoder ring?

No, I was never actually cool enough to own PF Flyers. The first pair of "cool" sneakers I ever owned was a pair of blue Puma 'Clydes' that I bought with my own money. When you sweat in them the die ran onto your socks and feet, and turned them blue.

Why, I remember when they invented dirt. "Who needs dirt?", we all asked. We've done without dirt all this time and see no need to jump on the bandwagon for some new fangled contraption. No one will use it and it will be gone before the end of the year. You wait and see.

dang kids.

We old people were here first! What do you have to say about that, huh?

They're having the meatloaf special at Denny's today, better get there a little early and wear a clean shirt.

I had to wear those awful things, but they were obviously generic. Converse.

Dood, I had low top electric blue puma's with florescent yellow crap on the sides. They were the most badass shoes I ever owned. They're solely responsible for my sneaker problem, er, ah, fetish, er, umm, collection. Yeah, that's it. :D

I'm not sure that cool and P.F. Flyers belong in the same sentence. Cool for us started with having a pair of Chucks in junior high school. :tu

I am 26 years old. Here is what I remember:

3. Candy cigarettes
4. Soda pop machines that dispensed glass bottles

If you remembered 0-5 = You're still young

Rocks? Rocks!?! You had rocks!

We had to scoop hot magma out of the core of the earth with our bare hands and then squeeze it between our butt cheeks to make our rocks. Don't tell me about rocks, kid, I know rocks!

Damn know-it-all kids. Who let them in here anyway.

Local magma? Paradise! We used to have to get out of bed at 4:00am, trudge through dino-scat to the other side of the world and scoop plasma from the sun itself! Then we came home and had to fuse those dadburn atoms in the kitchen while Dad beat us about the head and neck.

(thanks and apologies to the Four Men from Yorkshire)

Oh, I scored a 15.
