Always an interesting look into people's lives when you look at lists like this. Really gives you a good idea of their personalities and what type of people they are.

1. Visit Cornwall, UK with my wife
2. Watch the sun set on the ocean in Bora Bora
3. Drink espresso at a cafe on the street in Paris
4. Write a screenplay and see it actually become a movie
5. Watch the sun rise in Japan (either Shinjuku or Kyoto)
6. Get a traditional tattoo from Horiyoshi III
7. Drink Rum and enjoy a cigar in Havana
8. Sail the Pacific Seas for six months or more
9. Visit and tour the Vatican
10. Make love in the rain in New Zealand

You gonna pay my airfare?

As an auto racing fan, I have always thought that the year that I retire (providing I can retire with any cash) I would do a special races tour. The races on the schedule are....

1. Daytona 500
2. Monte Carlo GP
3. Indianapolis 500
4. A race at Laguna Seca (hopefully the IRL will return there)

Of course the problem in this is that Monte Carlo and Indy are usually the same weekend. The tour will have to begin at one of them and end at the other.

Also, I want to play a round at St. Andrews Old and Pebble Beach.

Re: What's on your "bucket list"? [Serious]

Maybe I should be depressed, but I don't really have anything for my bucket list. I think maybe I've done what I set out to do:

Married a great gal (our 40th anniversary is next March)
Raised two wonderful daughters who are happily married and doing well
Wife, kids and I have good health
Ran a successful cattle operation for 30 years
Built my own airplane and flew it for 475 hours all over the USA
Retired to a beautiful place where I enjoy fishing, backpacking, pistol shooting and cigar smoking

So, I guess what's on my list is to keep doing what I'm doing for as long as possible.

I'm still somewhat young (37) so these are quite possible:

1. Get Ph.D. (started it this year, but had to postpone after 5 weeks of utter chaos trying to balance a demanding full-time job, a family of 4, and the reading and papers required)
2. Buy a house (Current job requires NYC 5-boro residency, so this is a stretch and a half right now)
3. Move to the west coast of France (great surfing)
4. Learn to speak French (required for #3)
5. Cruise with the Mrs.
6. Visit Melbourne Australia and bar-hop with my friends who live there
7. Finally catch a fish that outweighs me (I've come close a few times, but haven't quite hit that mark)

FWIW, I don't think you have anything to be depressed about. I think you've done very well for yourself and yours!

I sure hope I am a long way away from needing the list... but there just isn't a lot on mine:

#1 Sitting at the bar in the Bar Floridita, sipping a rum on the rocks with a twist of lime, and smoking a large stick in honor of Papa Hemingway.

#2 Going back to Germany and spending a couple of months eating, drinking, and making new friends.

#3 Getting an invite to "The Jack Daniels BBQ Invitational."

I'll tell ya what Big Guy.... I'll split the airfare with you but this time YOU bring the marshmallow fluff. I'm sick of having to explain it to TSA agents.
