is 45 minutes not that long for a cigar?

Cigars often burn for 1.5-2 hours....45 minutes is on the lesser end for sure. Depends how much you smoke though, people here will nub the heck out of a cigar down to the last quarter-half inch.

EDIT I personally leave about an inch left, unless I REALLY love the cigar.

Don't buy expensive ones yet.
You smoked that puppy in less than an hour.
That puts you on the "you smoke fast" side of things.

I can baby a cigar for hours if I get lazy enough.:r
I am on the slow side for sure.

Welcome to CS and to the world of cigars.

A little Freudian slip there my friend................ :r:r

Bacarat Corona, great first cigar choice. Made by the camacho factory in honduras, with the sweetened end cap, a mild smoke with a little pepper. I would say that 45 minutes on a Corona is just about right, if you were spending 45 minutes on a toro, or torpedo, or churchill, then you might consider slowing down, but for this stick i think 45 min is just right.

LOL! That pretty much describes me... I wondered how I filled my 300ct desktop so quickly, now I know. So much for buying a humidor 3x the size I thought I would need lol.

My first was a Baccrat Rothschild (a.k.a. Robusto) as well. Nice mild smoke. I can advise you on many more milds if you want to keep going. I'm 6 months down the slope and still love the milds. Probably always will have a few in the humi. Good choice.

I also started with a Fuente 8-5-8, but about 20 years ago. I haven't hit bottom yet. :D
