Ok, here's a pic of mine.
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...IMG_0004-5.jpg Samsung PN58b550 Plasma (love the thing) LG Blue Ray player I just picke up, forget the model number. It's their base model but works great, just no BD live stuff. Harmon/Kardon AVR520 I bought about seven years ago. Wish I had hdmi switching, but the thing sounds way too good to replace. Would be nice to have the hd sound too, but not sure if my lousy ears could really tell the difference. Cambridge soundworks speakers with a Acoustech 10" sub. Overall I really love the whole setup. Like I said, hdmi switching would be nice, but not worth the expense to get a receiver that sounds as good as this one. |
Re: Home Theaters - let's see 'em
Steve has a nice setup, but his Dog would not let me get close enough to check it out.

Any Bang & Olufsen fans?
I use to have a B&O setup but at that point lagged in surround sound and then just was too expensive to upgrade. |

Re: Home Theaters - let's see 'em
Just last night I picked up the Onkyo TX-SR507 receiver, a set of Energy Take 5 speakers, and a Polk 10" sub
I ordered a 46" Toshiba Regza 120 HZ LCD and Blu-Ray player at the beginning of December and the first shipment was lost somewhere. Another TV and BD player was shipped out this week but hasn't arrived yet. I hooked up the receiver, center, two fronts and the Sub to my existing TV last night and let it play for a bit and it sounds awesome. The speaker manual urges a 50-hr break-in period at normal listening levels so I haven't cranked them yet, but listening to movie themes and big band music (lots of horns, separate instruments) the speakers sound great. Soon as the TV comes in I'll be posting pics! |

crappy cell phone pic from when the stand was delivered: http://gallery.mithril.ca/d/44199-1/new+stand+01.jpg all wired up and running happily: http://gallery.mithril.ca/d/44241-1/tv-stand.jpg The centre channel is hidden behind the plasma since it's too tall to sit in front and I didn't have the centre section made as wide as I thought I was going to. The idea was to have all the components on the lower level and the centre in where the BD player is but it's not a big issue. This config leaves lots of room for the Zune dock and Harmony 720 charging station (to the left of the BD player, can't really see in this pic). |
