He was a very good actor. Just sounds weird the way he died found hung to death in a closet in his hotel room. I guess he was fighting some demons or something. Shame that he left us still at a fairly young age.

The reports coming out on several news sites is that it wasn't suicide -- it was autoerotic asphyxiation. TMZ, Village Voice, and others reporting this.

He played many interesting roles on tv and on the big screen. His approach to characters will be missed. R.I.P. Mr. Carradine.

I agree...very weird.....the rope was tired around his neck and his genitals and then the rope was tied together?!??! Am I missing something here???

I took a human sexuality class this semester and apparently autoerotic asphyxiation is very popular. Saw some pretty disturbing pictures. If you pass out and the rope you tied is a bit too short then thats all it take.

There is also a way of tying the rope around your neck and your ankles at the same time and pulling your legs in certain directions, but if you get a charley-horse or cramp and pull your legs down too far that will do it too.

My teacher went very in depth with this for some reason.
