So was the last one EJ. It was nasty. That is one rivalry with some serious hate.

Yeah I watched the replay multiple times. He was clearly knocked out. I have no clue why the whistle was not immediate. His arms were locked and he appeared to convulse more than once. Given how many times I have heard Shann say "the primary point of contact in this situation was the head", I would hope he stays consistent.

The Rumor is, The Bruins signed Turco but some other Team may be claiming him from waivers.
What this will do is

1. Turco, loses because even if another team claims him from the waiver wire
he can't play in the NHL. Some rules about Waivers and signings after the trade deadline.
2. The Bruins, lose because they don't have a serviceable back up

Here is a link to the interview with Chiarelli

I saw yesterday that the Bruins thought it would be 50-50 that Turco would be claimed in waivers, but I did not realize that would prohibit him from playing this year. That stinks, I hope he goes unclaimed so he can get a shot to get back in the Bigs.

Wild nearly blew it last night, but pulled it out in a shootout. Saw them give up 2 goals in a span of a minute in the 3rd.

Harding went down with an injury, and now they're down to their 3rd goalie with Backstrom already out with a groin strain. That's not a good thing. :( Any of you guys play goalie? LOL

Yeah but that was when That F#@! milbury was still ruining the organization. I hate Mad Mike more than the flyers and rangers.

BTW Nabokov must of stunk it up last night. I wont be watching that one on record...delete without viewing.

Big win for the Hawks over the Blueshirts last night, Johnny Oduya with his first goal as a Hawk.

Maybe Boston shoulda started Turco today.

Changing gears: Players you hate, but would love to have on your team. I keep coming back to Steve Ott.

I wonderbif the Sharks will miss the playoffs this year. This has the makings of a epic collapse.

Thomas has suxed big time he is slow and giving up soft goals although yesterday they just lost focus.

From an inside source some of the guys in the room are not happy with TT? It seems it's always someone else's fault, he never mans up and says he let in a bad goal.

Might see Marty today, expectations are low can't be that much worse then the 3-4 Thomas is letting in?

For me it would be Montreals P K Subban, he is a chicken poop turtler, but he can get under you skin a lot like our Marchand,he pisses me off just watching him:D

Oh My word!!! What an overall well played game last night by my Isles just to snatch defeat from the Jaws of victory in the wanniing seconds.

+ Haley Loved his energy and drive
+ Thor (Anders Nilsson)
- Streit For a captian to make that many mistakes is ridiculous
- Parantaue (Sp?) WTF another end of the game penalty that gave the other tteam the oportunity to score and win. Stooooopid uneccessary penalty at that.

First guy that came to mind, I have mentioned him on here before last year when he got under my skin during a game, Scott Hartnell.

Agreed, Hartnell is gonna be a big money contract next time he becomes available (or resigned).

Bruins off to another rough start. Maybe we'll see Marty?

Shane Doan. He always seems to get timely hits, turnovers, and goals whenever he plays the Wings. Just a PITA to play against, gritty as hell.

Turco should have started the game.

Thomas is not right in the head and he's tired, they need to get back on track.

Pens are surging right now! 9 game win streak is longest of the year so far! I can only hope that they aren't peaking before the playoffs start. I didn't think we had a shot at catching the Rangers but with a game coming up soon who knows! Should be an interesting end to the season!

Hawks sign Carcillo to a 2-year extension. I'll let you know 20 games in next season if I am happy. Frankly, I'd rather sign Jamal Mayers for 2 more seasons.

After a night @ the gym & then a basketball game in our HS Alumni Basketball Tournament, I watched the Avs beat the Ducks on DVR.... Though playing well, I don't think they'll end up in the playoffs... Downie & McGinn are both on fire. Both are +/= points to games played with the Avs....

Ahbroody 03-13-2012 10:45 AM

Re: NHL '11 - '12 Thread

Yeah you are welcome on the McGinn trade.

Sharks finally won a game. Not sure they will get the ship right in time for the playoffs. If they do doubt they will get far. Really wish I could understand this collapse. Just ugly

Though the point production of Downie and McGinn has been GREAT, I love that they bring an edge, something the Avs have lacked for some time....

COuld be worse...their collapse could rival that of the Wild. #1 in the league in Dec, and now #13 in the West. :sh :gary

Hawks come back from 3-1 to beat the Blues in the SO. Crawford takes over for Emery after the 1st, looks like the revolving goalie door has spun again.
