Didn't the Tig's sweep the ChiSox last time they played?

They did. In fact, we play the Tigers like we play the Royals. Hopefully they can turn it around. I think we play the Tigers 6 more times this year, and the Royals 6 more times. 12 games that will decide the Central I think.

This we can agree on. How the Tigers & Sox play the rest of the central will decide it.

7 more against the Tigers, 4 at Cellular. I will be at at least one of those.

Looks like the BoSox are waving the white flag, monster deal in the works. Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, Carl Crawfod, and Nick Punto looking to go to the Dodgers for prospects and cash.

Yuppers.

The only game I can make would be in October unfortunately, and that's an "if" for me even. Had plans for July, fell through:gary First year since 06 I haven't made a game yet IIRC

Two games for me so far this season, Tigers/Cubs at Wrigley and Red Sox/Yankees at Fenway. I have tickets for Tigers/Sox on Sept. 10th, and may try to make another in that series.

Looks like this is a done deal!
Though not officially announced, reports have Adrian Gonzalez, Josh Beckett, and Nick Punto on a plane, in the air, and on the way to LA!

There were some grumblings a few weeks ago that Valentine would be fired after this season.
I think this deal seals him coming back.
The Sox are calling it a move about "Payroll Flexibility", to me this move is to clearly indicate to the team "Who's the boss".
The answer is clearly Bobby V and not Ben Cherrington! :2

Dom, that was definitely a strange move. I get the "who's the boss" part but I can't believe LA took on all that salary. Unreal.

ESPN.com is saying that the move may look good this season, but is ultimately going to be a disaster.

If we do not win this season all is for nothing. Nice to see the Dodgers want to go for it but if we fail, then what?

Sox start a crucial road trip, 4 @ O's, then the weekend against the Kitties in Detroit.
