Have had a soft spot for the Rangers ever since Shanahan played there. I was bummed they didn't take him back. Because I hate the Devils to much to root for him there!

What in the Hell happened to the Rangers tonight? We were so bored watching the Pistons get spanked again that we started watching the hockey game at the B&M.

Maybe sitting avery was the wrong thing to do.
Could they possibly blow another 3-1 series lead?

Ranger fans may be gripping pretty hard tonight.

this one line clearly shows where nbcs loyalties are "our sponsors may not like that we've got 7 minutes without a stoppage..."

I'd prefer they have the games on Center Ice or Versus, but somewhere is better than nowhere. :2

Sharks seem to have brought their old selves to this game. Came at them from the first face off, and haven't really shown any signs of playing complacent. Shame they couldn't have done this the whole series. Refs have been making some horrible calls/non-calls though.

Maybe they can take the Quacks to a Game 7. ;)

sharks-ducks tied 2-2 right now

I am abruins fan and saw Jumbo joe live a coulpe of times and he is not the player he could be. All the talent but folds like a cheap suit. Lazy skater

Ducks have all the momentum now, Jumbo Joe and the Boys need to do something quick or they will have tee times on Monday.

The NHL ruled Saturday night that Tortorella's actions Friday night during the Rangers' 4-0 loss that cut their series lead to 3-2 warranted a serious punishment.

LeBrun: NHL Pushes Back
Suspending John Tortorella is a ballsy move by the league, which is apparently trying to send a tough message, writes ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun. Story

At 6:33 of the third period, Tortorella got into a verbal confrontation with a fan behind the bench. A video replay showed the coach heaving a green water bottle into the crowd. Tortorella then grabbed forward Aaron Voros' stick and held it high, waving it in the fan's direction.

Wonder how the NYRs will react? I bet they will play even more inspired.

I wish they could play ONE complete game. Thornton needs to learn to shoot the puck more. Earlier in the game, he had a couple chances that he needed to shoot the puck. Passing is fine, but he has an amazing shot, and needs to take advantage of it.

Joe has always fancied himself a "set-up guy".

Yeah, but the coaches need to get on his ass about shooting when he has a clear lane, and people in front of the net. Had a guy like that on one of my teams, and it sucked. Always trying to make the pass, even when there isn't one. Once the guy decided to shoot, he became twice the player he was before.

Thanks, Al! Brodeur still showed why he is arguably the best ever... could have been 7 goals easy. He was the most consistent Devil on the ice. :tu

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread

Yeah I dont even wanna talk about the Devils. I wasnt able to see the game but I was following the score on my phone. At first it was 1-0 then like 5 min later it was 3-0. Then I looked again it was 4-0 and I was like :rolleyes::confused: wtf happened to my team! Hopefully when they come home to finish this series they will get their act together and kick butt! I didnt think this one would go to 7 games and Tuesday will be a nail biter for sure!
