Re: Show a picture of a great pair!!! More like a menage a trois: Partagas Lusitania with Glengoyne and Aberfeldy. (Excuse the uncouth snifter glasses for scotch - the event served them like that!) http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/...psf2714ef9.jpg |

Re: Show a picture of a great pair!!! http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/...sm7dqales.jpeg http://i1369.photobucket.com/albums/...stsipmlnh.jpeg Yesterday's pair - LP9 with the new release Laphroaig "Lore". Fans of Laffies will no doubt be going after this. Assuming you are not a fan of the more "medicinal" side of Laphroaig, this might be a gentler starting point. Peaty it may be, but closer to a Lagavulin in the quality of the aroma - the "iodine and bandages" one usually associates with the Laffie 10 year old is not so noticeable. There is a lovely bourbonesque sweetness to the dram. It was spectacular with the LP9. This might just be the Laphroaig for those who prefer their scotches complex without too many rough edges. |
