However, they have deviated SIGNIFICANTLY from the books with the Qarth storyline. I'm hoping they get back on track with the Astapor/Unsullied storyline, I really liked it. |

Re: Game of Thrones
I caught one of the last episodes of the season on free HBO yesterday... Made no sense to me, because I never watched the show before! :bh
Reminded me of Lord of the Rings meets the Walking Dead! :tu |
Re: Game of Thrones
That's funny you should say that Sky, in that the last scene made me sarcastically remark to no one but myself,
"Dang, are zombies SO popular that we have to end season two of GOT with a zombie horde?" Love the show, but wtf? |
Re: Game of Thrones
To be fair the book with that scene was written in 2000, and the Others are pretty specifically "frozen winter zombies" just with a different name, so I'm not so sure it was cashing in on zombie popularity so much as just a coincidence :)

Re: Game of Thrones
Haha, I know they aren't playing the zombie card....but I had to say it. Interesting that Season 2 ends about the
way Season 1 Started. Before I ever saw a show, I looked up G.O.T. on the yousetube and saw the first scene of the first episode where the guys get overwhelmed by the WWs. I was HOOKED! But I had no idea that it was the very first scene. Once I saw that scene play out after popping in the Episode 1 DVD, I was like "Oh yeah, it's ON now. |

I think there is going to be some major poop going down up north and it will be a pretty big focus in the next couple books that will make the struggle for the throne seem small in comparison. |

Re: Game of Thrones
I've never put much stock into the Cleganebowl theory...but I admit it would be great to see.
