This sounds like a good read; last time I checked it was not available on the Kindle, so I will have to wait to check it out...

I just started Kinfe of Dreams by Robert Jordan (Book 11 of his Wheel of Time series). (not a Kindle book, but I have book 12 on the Kindle -- had to re-read the series in order to be prepared for the latest book).

I haven't had much time to read, only 7 chapters in. If you liked the others in the Swagger Series, you will like this one.

Finished 'Heart Shaped Box' by Joe Hill (Stephen King's son). Was a pretty good book and only took me a couple days to read. You can see a lot of his father's influence in his writing.

Now I have moved onto 'The Dark Half' by Stephen King.

Just finishing "The American Civil War" by John Keegan. Nothing new or groundbreaking in it, but very readable and a nice single volume account of the war.

I loved "With the Old Breed". Another good memoir from the Pacific Theater is "Helmet for My Pillow" by Robert Leckie; pick that one up if you get a chance.

Re: What are you reading?

Black Powder War by Naomi Novik - third in a series (5-6 books so far?) - psuedo-historical fiction set during the Napoleonic wars, but with dragons. Very well written and engaging.

Was also reading some Brian Lumley - the first few Necroscope books. Pretty good, definitely entertaining, and very bloody.

And finally a bit of Dan Simmons - Hyperion and Fall of Hyperion. Incredible books - think Chaucer's Canterbury Tales style, but set in a sci-fi world.

Man, I would love to see an interview with him. I still get chills when I think about the part of the book where he was describing the day and hours leading up to his first landing on Peleliu. When I finished that section I realized I had knots in my stomach and I think I was about as tense as I have ever been reading a book.

Re: What are you reading?

Yup- I'm looking for the whole thing as well. Just saw snippets of it on The Military Channel- obviously somewhere the whole interview resides!
