Holy crap so if a player steps on the puck and falls it's a trip ... I guess against the bruins it is, I haven't seen calls this bad in a long time, even my buddy from new york called me up and just started laughing in the phone .. but i was classy and hung up on him. :r

As a Sabres fan I have to disagree about the bad calls but you have to admit the salute to the fans at the end of the game was awesome.

All im going to say is I have predicted this downfall for a few years now. Infact a review of the last few pages of last years thread will confirm this. Wings may not make it this year. They better open up that checkbook and over pay this summer if they expect anyone to come. They tried not to this summer and they got tootoo. Unless of course some of their kids become amazing, but that doesnt appear to be the case. I think most of us expect that Z and Dats will do enough to get them in.

Torres he has played well I have to admit. He is a good passer and has done well in his first few games. That said I still hate him and wont cheer him. Was at the local b&m the other night watching the game when he scored in the shootout to win. Got into a discussion qith some others who now "like him". The guy is and was a dirty pos. I cant cheer the guy.

And the Sabres slim playoff hopes are officially over with a stellar 8-4 loss to the Rangers. Way to play like yourseason was on the line. :fp At least my wife will be happy. I wont be yelling at the tv for a while.

The Wild surel don't look like a team that is hitting it's stride for the playoffs. It looked like they out played the Flames, but they ran into another hot goalie.

Adam its funny you mention that. I was just discussing that fact that we held our own against some of the top teams in the East ( Boston, Montreal, Pit) but got our arses handed to us by the South East division. The Sabres never cease to amaze me. :bh

Loving the last week. It looks like it will come down to the last day for multiple teams. Love all 3 California teams being in.

Watching buddies who are Wings fans twist in the wind is awesome also.

Looking at the 8 9 battle. CBJ plays Dallas and Nasville. Redwings play LA,Dallas and Nashville. Both teams goalies are hot. While I wouldnt normally pick Det over LA, the kings played an extremely physical game against Minnesota last night then jumped on a plane to fly and play a 430PST. This looks like Dets chance to squeeze back in. Then it becomes who does better against Dal and Nashville.

San Jose back in the dance for the 9th straight year snd yet again they appear to not have a legitimate chance of doing anything. Torres is still the second biggest Dbag in the league, but he has been a factor in many of the Sharks recent wins.

I agree, Mike, this last week has been a blast. Sorry to see the Jets lose last night, I was really rooting for them to get in.

Stars blew their chance to make it in without help last night as well.....Wings-Kings is HUGE foir the Detroit fans. I'll be watching, at least right up 'til the Hawks game starts. :r

No, Cole, they never even disclosed what Ray's original injury was.....but his quick departure last night is troubling. Only good news what that Crawford was solid in relief, though he diudn't face many chances.

I was just thinking it would be a little troubling...mainly because Crawford is used to splitting time and having a solid backup, now they might be bringing in this new backup with no experience and only 1 chance to get a start before playoffs...

I'd be a little worried, but hell, the Pens have been playing without 3 of their top 5 scorers for about 10 games now and still doing well :tu

Word here is the Hawks are sitting Toews, Kane, Hossa, Bolland, Sharp, Crawford, Emery and more and letting the Icehogs play. Don't want anyone hurt by the doucherod twins (Jackman and Backes).

Yeah a middle finger to the Hawks for giving the Sharks no chance to catch the blues. No chance for home ice now. Not sure if the Sharks even try for the win now or go for the loss to play the sisters.

Neither....you said the Bruins will win the Cup, I am betting they will not.

West matchups are set:

Hawks V. Wild
Ducks V. Wings
Canucks V. Sharks
Kings V. Blues

Only East matchup see is Rangers V. Capitals....the other 3 depend on tomorrow's Bruins-Senators game.

Yeah, while I think it will be a close series, I don't see the Wild taking it. They may not even win a game. But all I can say is that it will be entertaining and most likely 3-5 one goal games. Oh, and unfortunately your picture won't be accurate Tom. Heatley had his season ended about two weeks ago. Right about the time we starting falling off the cliff.

I knew Heatley was out, but didn't know it was season-ending, Pete. I obviously am rooting for the Hawks, but hope we get good entertaining games as well.

Only blind guy I know, so we have an agreement. A little extra excitement for the playoffs. A friend here owns a few restaurants (steakhouses) he's a huge Flyers fan so if they meet the Bs in the playoffs I have a little side wager going with him as well.
