Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
The Mcusta has to wait, I ordered a limited edition Brous SS Flipper with titanium liners and carbon fiber scales.

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Ordered a Brous SS neck knife to compliment my Brous SS Flipper with a different blade shape.
http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...YKmZwlCWyRNZLT Also ordered a cheap little Boker Nano frame lock, hard to justify paying 6 times as much for the Curtiss: http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...7TgmrOQ-csJVxA |
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
A teeny tiny Victorinox Rally Swiss Army Knife...the one with that just over an inch blade and a bottle opener that has faithfully accompany me since college.
But now I have my eyes on one of those Swiss Army Cigar Kinfe...anybody using them? If yes, how are they? Does the three punches work? |

Thinking about picking up a stonewashed ZT 0200 like this one:

personally I am not a fan of flippers, I will prolly never buy another one. I can't see your picture but I love stonewashed blades. |
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
This one is only $120 new from kershaw guy. or i may pick up a Blem of the black version from him for $95.
I want a 0566 but it'll be almost 2014 before they're available enough for someone to get them at good prices. Always works like that with ZT. Happened with the 0560 last year. |
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
I really hate the 0770, I love my 0550 Gen2 though so I feel like I need no other ZT for now.
I don't see myself buying many more production knives. I am gonna focus on customs but not going to be buying many. My Michael Morris Friction is on order and paid for so I am looking forward to that getting finished. I do really want a Strider though... and the XM18 non flipper... I am a big fan of the Warren Thomas customs too but would I ever use it? Prolly not, they are too beautiful. |
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
The new 0566 is going to be like a cross between the 0560 and 0550 but smaller, and be assisted like the 0350.
How to u like that lil boker? |

I really like it, I am glad I didn't buy the real Curtiss since the Boker is so well made. It is super solid, but even smaller than I thought. I can make it completely dissapear in my hand when closed. The only two knives I would recomend to somebody for under $50 is the Skyline and the Boker Nano. :tu I do not like assisted knives, I carry a knife as a tool not as a weapon so for me speed isn't an issue as much as durability. Simple is better for my tastes, I love frame locks more than anything. Ti frame locks make me drool. I wish the Brous SSF I have wasn't a flipper and I wish it was a frame lock. |
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
yeh well it's a ZT so it'll be durable. you can take the spring out and use it as a manual folder too though.
|
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
I will be looking into the new DPX stuff though...
|
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
No new EDC for me. Made it to the gun show yesterday, nothing really caught my eye, except for a CRK small sebenza, dude was asking over MSRP on it so I walked away.

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Which Dalton do you have? Picture?
I promise myself to use my knives without fear no matter how much I spend on them. I learned that from cigars, you will enjoy it much more smoking it than storing it. The nice thing about a knife is isn't one use like a cigar. I also do not collect to resale, I buy to enjoy. I don't think I could part with any of my nice knives. Of course I try to buy knives in different sizes, brands and styles. Some people have 12 Spydercos that are all very similar, I can't relate to that. Haha The closest I have is two Brous blades but they are both different blade shapes and one is fixed and the other is a folder. D2 tool steel is one of the best steels so I was able to justify these two blades of the same brand. Does the Sebbie feel "that" amazing when you open it? I would like to try one out someday. |

I'm thinking the Dalton and Microtech SOCOM-A could fully fund my Sebbie. The SOCOM is a great knife, just a little too much knife for my EDC needs.

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
I love this thing. It just feels like it's built like a tank. Especially compared to my Kershaw Blur
I wanna get a ZT0200 and have a guy make it look like this but with a different color and style grip scales. http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8336/8...e96e0a23_z.jpg |

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Great looking Sebbie Greg!!! I think I'm going to sell off my Dalton and Microtech SOCOM to fund the purchase of one like it.
Any of the knife gurus have any idea what the Dalton pictured above (or a page or two back depending on your settings) may be currently? The SOCOM I believe is an elite-a from 2002, not sure what they're going for either, any help with a value is appreciated. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c8...U/be8a93e4.jpg |
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Sorry, Brian, No Idea On Value. I Do Know That A Few Of My Favorite Knives That I Sold On EB Several Years Ago Never Approached The Original Price I Paid For Them. I Love My CR, But I'm Afraid To Ding It Carrying It As An EDC.;)

Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Ask about it on blade forums. They may be able to helps

I am back to carrying my 0550 G2, love this knife. I really have no interest in any other ZTs, for me this is a perfect knife. Just need to find a nice scale for it, can't find any I like enough to spend $50-$100 on. |
Re: (Official?) Pocket Knife Discussion Thread
Thanks, I'll try blade forums and microholics this weekend. No EB for these knives unfortunately...learned my lesson trying to sell autos on there already.
