I think that was the summation of the Bengals season, find ways to beat bad teams and got exposed for posers by good teams. Pretty much an identical season to the Reds a year ago, weak schedule, eeked into the playoffs and embarrassed by a better team. :td

Sorry about the Bengals loss, guys. I have to say I was real impressed with their play today up till the wheels fell off. They had some game, for sure. Being a good ball club is new to them, I'm looking forward to next year. It'll be nice to see some really good Divisional ball when they line up with the Steelers and Ravens next year. :tu
I know you guys don't think much of Mike Brown, but turning Carson Palmer into two big draft picks is a big deal. Pretty genius if you ask me, even if it happened by mistake.
If he uses those picks well, the Bengals are finally gonna be back. I'm looking forward to it. :tu

I've poked around and I really can't find anything definitive and I was hoping one of the Bengal loyalists could help me out. Why did the Bengals trade Keith Rivers for a 5th round pick? Did they just grow weary from paying him to be on the trainers table all the time? There's no denying the man's talent (he was consistently thought of the best linebacker on a USC squad composed of himself/Rey Maualuga/Brian Cushing/Clay Matthews III) but you can't contribute if you're always hurt. Didn't know if it went beyond his health or not..

Now watch, he'll play 16 games for the Giants next season and be a pro-bowler (if there is such a thing).

He was just decent at his position, nothing special. Sure he would get some tackles, but he just wasn't a game changer and didn't make huge plays.

It was a good win, but with all due respect, the Steelers suck. The first real test is next weekend when the Packers come calling. Dalton looked off, made some real bad throws. :sh

I really enjoyed the roller coaster game Sunday. We got a win over a GREAT team. Also, I love Dave Lapham. He may be a homer, but he has great calls. All you hear is screaming :r
