They do lift the minimum innings pitched requirement sometimes on shortened weeks, like those around the all-star break. That's a Yahoo thing that they do. Usually there will be an announcement on the league page or something. |
Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball For Stakes And The Troops
Today should be my good day with four pitchers going. It should boost my pitching numbers unless one of them gets shelled!

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball For Stakes And The Troops
That's a good way to get a look at your guys, if nothing else. I like when it happens early in the week, then I can grab a couple pitchers from the FA if I need a little bump to grab a category.

Wow, Verlander was on his way to a complete game shut out...until I turned on the radio app to listen to the ninth inning!!!

26 outs of shutout ball for Garza. One more out... Not sure how many complete game shutouts we'll see this season but it sucks to be so close to winning those two categories and yet so far away. Anyone in Chicago to herf with after I get done beating Cubs manager Dale Sveum with a bat? I mean, they had an 8 run lead, give the man a chance to finish off his shutout...

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball For Stakes And The Troops
At least the Twins figured out how to hit the ball and put some runs on the board the last two days. They needed all 16 of them too!

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball For Stakes And The Troops
Not much smack talk going on here... My team is kickin' ass this week. I must say that this is the first time in fantasy baseball where I am happy to have the guy that's 0 for 2 with 3 walks in the lineup rather than the guy that's 3 for 5 with a HR. Walks I needed...

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball For Stakes And The Troops
Scott, you want to put a troop fiver on next week?

Yes, it's a turning point day. My guys hit for sh1t all week. The only way I can catch up is through a couple pitching categories. I rotated some garbagemen in to see how they do, but it looks like a .500 week when it washes out. I'll be happy to take that as bad as my hitting line was. |
Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball For Stakes And The Troops
Thanks man!
We both had a rough couple of days to start this week. I think we were both sub .200 BAVG at some point. I agree it will most likely be a .500 week when it is all said and done. Want to trade me Buster Posey? :) |

How bout Posey and Ramirez for Young and busted down Carl Crawford? Or I'd go Napoli for Young. That one's pretty heavily in your favor, although Young's had a good start and Napoli hasn't. |
Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball For Stakes And The Troops
Who drafted Matt Kemp? He is pretty much carrying my team right now.
Not putting up the SB numbers but with everything else he is killing it. |

Yep, Kemp rocks. I hope my guys saved some juice for the rest of the season. Why steal a bag when you get the 4 for 1 special? haha

Re: 2012 Fantasy Baseball For Stakes And The Troops
Jarrod, trade accepted.
