Re: Official SEC Football Thread 2009
I remember many years ago taking a painted sheet to a game that said "Keep Ray Goff"!!! Next year I am taking a "Keep Les Miles" banner to the game!! That was one of the worst gaffs I have ever seen!!!

Re: Official SEC Football Thread 2009
We do NOT need to bring up that name.

sadly, I have to bet against LSU this weekend, I don't see a way they can get by Arkansas. Not only do I NOT see it, I understand from my sources close that the players are demoralized and do not want to play for 4th down Les. Who can blame em. |
Re: Official SEC Football Thread 2009
Auburn's got a shot against Bama this week. Auburn is coming off a bye week and they have this one at home. Plus u can expect the unexpected in rivalry games
.........but i still think Bama is on a mission to avenge their loss to Fl last year, pulls away from Auburn in the second half and wins by two TDs |
Re: Official SEC Football Thread 2009
No way Bama loses to Auburn, they want that shot at Florida and the National title.
We've gotta look out for FSU this year, who knows how they'll play. But I still think we'll win even if they put up a good effort, it might just be closer than comfortable. Tim Tebow's last game in the Swamp this weekend. I'll be there. GO GATORS!:banger |

Two neighbors were chatting at the mailbox and talking about the Florida vs Florida State rivalry...
The first guy said "you know, whenever the Gators beat FSU my dog does a back flip, sings We Are the Boys and starts the Orange and Blue chant" Second guy says "wow. what does ur dog do when FSU beats Florida?" First guy responds "i don't know, he ain't but five years old......" :r :r GO GATORS!!!! |

Got nothing to do with my sins. I'm just saying he could have represented better. Case in point, couple of weeks ago when the three UT guys got arrested for armed robbery, at least one of them was wearing a Tennessee Football shirt. That's how you commit a crime and represent. Know what I'm saying?

Re: Official SEC Football Thread 2009
Dunlap should not play in the SEC championship game or the title game. Falling asleep at a green light? he could have killed someone. He also cost himself millions of bucks since i'm sure he knocked himself out of the top 10 draft pics.
Missing Dunlap is gonna be big for the Gators i'm afraid, I think he's the third or fourth best player on our team behind Tebow, Spikes and possibly Joe Haden. With #8 out UF's task of stopping Ingram and getting pressure on McElroy, the key to the game in my opinion, just got a lot harder :hn |
Re: Official SEC Football Thread 2009
Idk about not playing in the National Championship game. First they have to get there...
I think if he sits out the SEC Championship game thats a fair enough fine. Yes, while what he did could have injured many, it didn't. A majority of his punishment will be felt in the millions of dollars he is going to loose later in possible draft status. I am no way condoning DUI's or drinking, or anything of that matter, but lets be honest he was a dumbass, and his mistake will cost more than it would cost any other kid who gets a DUI. What good does dismissing him from the team now, an not letting him play if they get to the National Championship game do for anyone? He is a kid, and kids make mistakes. |

From ESPN.com:
Florida coach Urban Meyer announced after practice Tuesday evening that Dunlap has been suspended indefinitely from the team and will not play for the No. 1 Gators against No. 2 Alabama in the SEC championship game Saturday in Atlanta's Georgia Dome. Key word is "indefinitely". Wonder weather he'll play in whatever bowl game Florida lands in |
