Does any one own a Mossberg 715T? Is it any good? I might be able to swing a deal of $200 or a little less for one this weekend. Looks like a it would be fun to shoot.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
One of the craziest gifts I have ever received!
Springfield Fully Loaded 1911 chambered in 9mm http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ps644db216.jpg My boss decided he didn't want to have any firearms in his house with so many grand kids coming over all of the time (pressure from his wife) so he just gave me the Springfield along with his carry piece (Kahr P9) and all of his gear as well as cleaning supplies! I was absolutely shocked and still am! Bought new 6 months ago, this thing has had 7500 rounds through it and has had no failures! Recoil spring was changed @5000 and he included 2 new springs for future changes. |

I do LOVE my nano though

Re: First Firearm Thread.
I was looking at the XDs and Shield 9mm, I ended up with the Shield
The shield is nice if you have small to normal sized hands. If you have large hands you might find the grip to be a little small the the gun will be loose in your hand. A Hogue grip will fix this. I felt the XDs had a better grip. The XDs also felt like it heavier. My impression was that the materials and build quality was about the same. The real determining factor at that point was the price. the Shield was less than $385, and the XDs was I think $600-550. My shield is a pleasure to shoot, its very comfortable with the grips on it and the extended mag. |

Just a heads up Palmetto State has started their black friday prices.
|
Re: First Firearm Thread.
Greg, you have a shield, correct?
|
Re: First Firearm Thread.
No, hands are kind of too chubby for such pistols Smallest I go is Glock 19 or Sig 225. Just the full size for me. But I was looking at one a while back. The California versions are kind of hard to get for us right now.

Re: First Firearm Thread.
I just got into the 'game' on the .223 ammo. What are good prices I should be looking for for the ammo? Cents per bullet? I found a 1000 round for 430.00, making it .43 per shot.
|
Re: First Firearm Thread.
That sounds like a good deal. Best i could find is $0.45 per shot for 1000 box
