Fine.. I'll go back to the customer service center tomorrow... And if they still don't take it, I'm driving 3 blocks down the street to the ups store, pulling off the ORM-D label and handing it to them. :bh

I have the drop down door and speedloader rails. I had to look that mag up to see the application kit for it. I learned something new today. :tu
I read you may need to clean the stock or fitting up a bit for perfect fit.

I have the Tapco stock already, so the Tapco mags are just plug and play.

Why does it matter if its high or low shelf? Planning on putting a RDIAS in it?

Pardon the break in the action. But wanted to add to picture time here. Here's the new muzzle break installed. My Picatinny rail is like 6" .

Your rifles look really sweet. If I add an upper kit, then I can add a stock. But I like it this way.

What are you going to use for sights? I have an Olympic Arms OA-93 with the top rail just like yours and I'm trying to find as low profile of a sight set as possilbe. Wish I could just get some handgun 3 dot sights but can't find any that will go on the rail. I don't want optics, they stick up too high.

Ordered 4 extra magazines for my 1911 along with a Serpa holster and a double magazine pouch (single stack). I need to get to a range and shoot it. I prefer outdoor ranges but it's snow and cold up here.

I have a papered DIAS - so I try keep track or of milspec lowers.

Even if I didn’t have this I’m not interested in out of spec lowers.

Hi Ryan.. As of yet, undecided. I still use the open sights for now. I can still sight unobstructed right down the valley of the rail. I have seen mine with the short opticals like the guys have here on their AR's. But this is no rifle. Firing at a "power stance" well away from your face, I am considering just keeping my sights open.

3-dots would be nice, or laser. ..

Well with ammo being scarce and pricey, i'm contemplating selling my ar15. I really want to get back into photography.

Might be selling my AR to a cop here for $1200 and 180rds of that LE132-00. That seems fair for both of us given the current market. I paid about $750 or so for it when I got it.

spectrrr 02-21-2013 03:16 AM

Re: First Firearm Thread.

selling your only AR... say it aint so! A sad sad day...

Nice thing about being gone for a year I suppose - ammo prices will hopefully be affordable again when I get back :)

funny... I'm actually temporarily getting OUT of photography, at least as a profession. Won't work out well for me while I'm down south.

Have of any of you guys seen any keltec KSG's in the last few months besides for GB?

I want one but can't bring myself to pay $1500 + for a shotgun that should be around $800 or less.

Well it's done Francis. AR-15 is gonzo. The guy bought it from me right as work was starting. $1200 cash plus 180 shells of Fed LE132-00. I'm gonna put about 100-150 of the shells up for sale to recoup some more cash.

My FIL has a couple on order since all the BS started this last time, No telling if they will ever show. KelTec's first priority is not guns after all.

I'm not too up on the current models. Was using 5D's and 30D's for years... got a 5D mk3 last year, was in freakin heaven, but it's gettin sold down in venezeuela. Lots of import regulations regarding how much cash I can bring into the country (it's damned small)... but a professional photographer traveling with his gear..... ;)
