I'm looking for a laptop bag, not a backpack, but one that has shoulder straps so I can wear it.

It needs to be able to hold a 17" laptop with accessories...

Gentlemen, your help is appreciated, please and thank you.

Kegan

Basically I want a laptop backpack that doesn't look like a backpack, but a messenger bag. :ss

I've carried a Timbuk2 bag for the last 7 years or so.

I'm fond of The North Face bags and backpacks. I almost bought the Off Site (shoulder bag), then decided to go with a backpack when I was in school.

I have a real nice leather bag, thing takes a beating looks real classy. I'll have to run to my car and check the brand.

I've found needing it so often a good bag is well worth it. This one came with an insert for a 13/15 or can fit a 17 but barely. I have a 15.4 so I run just one insert. It's been a great bag still looks new.

I know not massively helpful till I get the brand for you I just thought i'd chime in remember it's holding a 1-2k + tool don't skimp on a bag. :)

A quick google and ebay shows a ton of bags, I know the local best buy has them, but marked up you could try them there and buy online.

check out places like Ross, or Marshall's/TJ Maxx

they always seem to have a decent selection of nice leather messenger/laptop bags, usually Kenneth Cole for some reason. But you can get a top notch bag for under 100 bucks sometimes. I've even seen some Zero Halliburtons there before.

Targus is king in the Corporate world, for what that's worth. Good price, smart and lasts a long time. Fashion? Well, not really but its amount of use worldwide speaks for itself.

I was in TJ Maxx today and they even had a couple of Timbuk2's for around $40 (which is a pretty good deal).

I use my Ogio bag for travelling with my laptop. I've had it for 3 years now, but just started traveling for work regularly (min of 7 days a month) last year and it's been holding up quite well.

I have been using mine for probably 10 years and it still is in good shape.

EDIT: Just noticed you said 17 inches. The description for this says 15 inches.

Thanks all, sorry for the delay, I've been without a laptop, and still am...ironic lol. Anyway, I talked mom into salvaging a pair of bluejeans to patch up the one I had from New Global something or other. They cost $25 new, I paid $10 for mine, and I couldn't find the brand.

Appreciate all the effort, rep will be coming shortly. Thanks again for all the help.
