I'm researching Blackberry vs Iphone right now and am leaning more towards Iphone due to the apps available.

One I really like is the one that finds your car in a busy parking lot as I always forget where I parked.

I love the applications.

I downloaded "Vicinity" last night which is really cool. It picks up where you are and you can then locate just about anything in the vicinity. I spent a whlie trying to find "nudi" bars near me that I may have missed.
There were none.:r

BTW Pete, I did the same research and went with the iPhone.

Limitations? No video camera and a crappy digital camera overall compared to the one on my wife's LG Dare, but short of that, which is not the reason I bought it as I have a nice Nikon D80 I rather use, the phone is AMAZING!!!

Carlos, do they nickel and dime you on the apps?

My coworker is one of the types that has to have the latest and greatest technology as soon as it comes out and got the white Iphone as soon as it was out. A couple days later, her dropped it and now has the not so latest and greatest technology with a spider web crack on the screen, which has given me plenty of ammo to poke fun at him.:r

Blackberry > iPhone. :tu

The other way around was the logical choice for me with a MacBook, MobileMe, iPod, yadda, yadda.
The worlds all sync so wonderfully.

I am truly in love.
No pre-nuptials either.

I have six pages of applications and have only paid for maybe two or three of the applications downloaded on those six pages. The rest were all free.

Like any toy, you drop it, look out. Not designed for that. There are no applications to prevent you from breaking it if you drop it.:r

You certainly are lucky to have those connections.

My daughter is working for T-Mobile. I asked why it is she couldn't have gone to do the same for AT&T.:r

true....but so darn expensive.

To be honest if they can make the BB storm an actual good competitor I would consider getting it over an iPhone when contract runs up because I don't want to switch to AT&T.

I too was so reluctant to give up Verizon to go to AT&T.

Now?

Verizon who?

Wife still has Verizon with an LG Dare so technically, in our household, we live in both worlds.
She just got her Dare and for her techy ability, which makes me look like a computer programmer (and my lack of such ability is very well documented), that phone is quite nice and she is very happy with it.

I sat last night watching all the iPhone adds from Apple on their website.
I was like a proud dad.:r

Isn't Apple's exclusivity with AT&T due to be up soon?

First they need to fix the Vicinity application so that it includes nudi bars.
I tried every possible term used for them in the search and they just don't want us to frequent those places I guess.
Should they do an update on Vicinity, after that, coming up with an application like you suggest should be a breeze for them.

Just the one with 16 called "Fart for Free".

You should see what happened with that.
I went across the street while a few friends/neighbors gathered discussing a tree being cut down.
As I approached them, I used #9, which is the longest one (someone did it in their pants for that one).
They all laughed and figured I had a device doing it.
I then showed them the phone, illustrated the multiple ones it can generate and we all laughed.

A few minutes later, the one neighbor who is elderly, farted without being able to apparently contain it.
I immediately yelled out: "that was not my phone!" and everyone laughs.
My neighbor who farted then pulls out his "mickey mouse" type cell phone, holds it in the air and yells: "that was my phone".:r:r:r:r:r

He may be old but is still quick witted.

That too was me......at one time.
When you can combine all worlds into one device, why not?
Spares me from carrying tons of junk.

On Monday, I travel for most of the week.
Rather than take a DVD player to watch a movie on my flight, an iPod to listen to music, my laptop to access my email or the web, a GPS device, directions on paper, my reservation documents, a cell phone and on and on, I just take my iPhone.
Hmmmm.............:ss
